Hey Jonah, I already watched a lot of your videos, now this one was extremely helpful for me, because this is the type of learning I prefer. Thanks a lot, also for the tip about anytune.Great!
This program really helped me with doing things by ear with guitar. It’s cool to adjust the speed and loop it. I think it will help people on harmonica also
Thanks for watching Norm! I’m planning on starting an internet Harp Club where I’m going to be teaching riffs and giving extra lessons for the folks that want to go further. I’m working on that; I totally realize that this is pretty technology heavy, and it’s not gonna be for everyone.
You're wondering if you're slowing down 50% or 60%. I would say that they have a huge difference. Only if you slow down by 50% the key will remain the same. It's only one octave lower. If you slow down to 60% the key is something completely different, mara
That’s not the case in a transcription program. Try playing with it at 50%, it’s not de tuned, or in a different key. That’s the whole point of these programs, the don’t mess with the pitch.
That would be fun, Sean! I would be happy to give you lessons if you’re interested, and I have some full courses coming out this year. My beginner’s course is a few months away, however. It’s very different than guitar, especially the folk style that you play. I really love it, though. It’s a much more simple experience, and as such, it’s just fun to pick up and play, and you can dig in to it when you want that experience too, like the stuff I talk about in this video.
For real, I’ve been dealing with some health problems, kind of took me out and making videos for a few weeks. Those ones that were released recently were batched up. I am mostly better now, back to playing harp and all that!
Hey guys! If you enjoyed this, consider subscribing for more weekly videos!
