Freddy is more Dad than Gregory's father would ever be after seeing this. Aside from being unable to get drunk due to being a machine underneath technically, Freddy will always have a heart of gold within that endoskeleton, and a pure soul to go with it.
Machine or not, he do be a true dad. This may sound weird to say about some video game character but parents really outta look more towards characters like these, it would allow them to get a better understanding of what a child NEEDS when it comes to negative situations, being screamed at, told off constantly, put down dont make things work out better, its showing understanding No parent can be perfect or ideal in a child’s eyes yeah but they can try be the best parent they can. Freddy, weirdly enough, is a good role model of a father
Ironically, Freddy being an ideal father figure for Gregory just makes me think of The T-800 from Terminator 2: Judgement Day, who was programmed to protect John Conner, and while his personality was bland as toast, he kinda was a good dad for John. He'd never get drunk, and hit him or yell at him. Say he doesn't have time for him. He will stand by him no matter what.

Why is Freddy wearing clothes? I think his robot body would be too big for regular clothes. I guess it's a disguise. Lol, the people probably thinks he's a weirdo who always "wearing" a Freddy mask and ignore his animatronic hands. But I guess the peoples' blindness makes it easier for Freddy to sneak out to see Gregory.

That is a good possibility. There could be a number of things that could cause his depression. The loss of custody of Gregory could definitely be one. But there could be multiple other things as well. These are things most kids might not understand but we can piece together that this man is really struggling out here. (This goes to speculation for this AU now, so don't take me too seriously, but hear me out a bit.) In this AU, Michael's spirit is around and while not possessing Freddy, is attached to him and he did make a comment that Gregory "reminded him of someone". That someone being his younger brother. What if the dad is another offspring of William that was conceived before he "died". A 4th (Or more) sibling completely unknown to Michael. Making Gregory his nephew. The Afton family drama still continues.

Glamrock Freddy is the best dad a kid could have. He reminds me of Optimus Prime. There were days when I wished I had a dad like him, even if he were an animatronic or a robot.

As a fanfic this is really adorable and well performed and perfectly sums up the fandom of this game.
