Thank you for this review. Check out their "Čekam kišu" song from the "Kao kakao" album (1987). Or maybe "Bistra voda" from "Kalabalak" (1983). There's a lot of Leb i sol material from all periods of their career worth hearing. A lot of instrumentals, some rock-jazz, some ethno/folk touches, but also some good catchy poppy vocal tunes here and there. The guitarist Vlatko Stefanovski has been productive as a solo artist as well, with some of his solo work leaning toward hard rock and even prog metal sound in some of his songs, but a lot of what he's done is kind of a continuation to the works done with Leb i sol (the name of the band means "Bread and salt").
7/8 is one of the most iconic time signatures in macedonian folk music. You should review his live performance of Uci me majko karaj me on the Zlatna Bubamara festival. It's also 123 12 12 123 12 12

it is interesting when Vlatko plays fast it sounds like a midi sequencer. It's so clean. Much like Vinnie Moore. Unbelievable
