IN ALL OF MANNY's FIGHTS HE BRINGS ACTION !! & EXCITEMENT !!, HE'S ADDING MILLIONS OF MORE FANS TO THE SPORT OF BOXING FROM AROUND THE WORLD. THIS GUY IS JUST AMAZING...
He definitely brought excitement back to the sport but now it's the promoters job to stay consistent in matching great fighters together if the sport ever wants to stay successful.
hey Elie, where did you get those fight posters in the background? I'm interested in designing my office with fight posters of the greatest fights of all time and also Ring magazines. Do you have a place that you know where I could purchase them?
Boxing is back, and yes MP helped it a lot. Bringing back the old guts and glory. 2010 is going to be great wit Viloria vs Tamara, Mosley vs Berto, Donaire vs Harris, Abraham vs Direll(sup 6), Carl Foch vs Kessler(sup 6), Vazquez vs Marquez 4, and of course MP vs PBF. Manny has been on top of the sport, not giving judges any way to decide the fights except vs Morales 1.
Boxing popularity is based on current fights that are interesting. its like if Mohammed Ali didn't fought the best in his Era , its not that big of a deal to mention his name in boxing but he did and beat them all. so Manny and PBF are the current "must see fights in boxing"
boxing has always been here manny just amde it more entertaining and gathered more attention since it ahs been thought as kind of boring lately(not much good heavyweight fighters around) but liek anything else it will have its ups and downs and now boxing is again on top of its name. manny, cotto, mosley,p williams, mayweather, hatton, the klitchskos, ward, haye and so many more upcoming fighters tryingt o make a name in the sport it'll be another exciting decade for boxing and its fans!
@DMXTVDallas Well, I'm a UFC and boxing fan myself and I respectfully disagree. I watch UFC at a technical point of view. I enjoy ground game, stand up game, clinch, all of it. I, like many other UFC fans, prefer UFC over boxing not just because of knock-outs, but because its just a more complete form of fighting in my opinion.
do not forget the mex that pac fought with. they shown what true fighters are. unlike some fighters who just run around the ring, cherry picks opponents, gives the sport bad paublicity etc.
I am 63 years old and have really never followed boxing except for maybe just a few fights here and there and i would NEVER pay per view to watch a boxing match. Even now I dont watch boxing a lot...except for Pacquiao...I have watched him many years now and have paid hundreds of dollars of pay per view. I love watching him so much that i went to the philippines and married a filipina...Just kidding. I love my beautiful filipina wife.
Of course the boxing is back because of MANNY! Who doesn't wanna earn MILLIONS of DOLLARS plus pay per view plus endorsements anyway? Are you kidding me? I am from General Santos and there's gonna be more Manny in the future from that place. Mark my word!

I don't know if he is the sole reason (he could be), but I do know that Manny revitalized my love for boxing.
