Fantastic songwriting and he looks bad ass in this video I saw him live at a pool hall in Detroit and he was terrific His guitar player was awesome and Rodney walked among the audience and shook hands with many people After the show, I was eating dinner in the bar and he walked right by the window and waved as he boarding a big bus
I started listening to Rodney Crowell because of my dad. I was rebellious when it came to music when I was a teenager, but I still liked the old stuff from when I was a child. I listened to heavy metal in my teens, but I got over it in my early twenties. I like good songwriting, be it Guy Clark, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, Robert Earle Keen, or James Hetfield.
I saw rodney in ann arbor several years ago and new then he was underated as a performer. He has great talent. He should be in the cma hall of fame Don fitch
I saw Rodney at Gruene Hall 4 times. All over Austin , SXSW many years, LaZona Rosa, Carlsbad Tavern, UT student union hall 2× cactus cafe. New York 2x, Grand Old Opry, Cafe. Waterloo Icehouse, where he looked at me when he got stuck on a lyric. I gave it to him! People were looking at me? What? The international Music hall, Austin was another time he locked eyes with me and said Quietly, nice to see you here. People around me were, what? He knows you? Many years, many times 1981 till 2014, but not sense then. I live in North Idaho now, he doesn't come here.
Why are they advertising Nicki Minaj on a Rodney Crowell video? As if anyone who listens to Rodney Crowell would be interested in that disgusting bullshit.
One of the most intellectual song writers in Nashville.
Still awesome in 2024!
Loved RC from first listen!❤️
Agreed. This is righteous

Terrific song. Always liked Crowell's song writing ability, and his lyrical prowess has evolved into something impressive too.
Sounds like a episode straight out of life today. God bless America. Peace

I've seen him twice at Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas and you won't see a better performance.

Just turned on outlaw country awhile ago and heard this song for the first time in a long time. So damn good.
This video has been online for more than 5 years and has gotten less than 10,000 views.
I don't understand at all.

Great all-around songwriting (as always) from Rodney. The flow and bite of these lyrics is quite the combination of catchy and thoughtful.
Truly love his southern drraww... I bet it melted a heart or two.
Love his songs , still listening to this in 2021
Right now
Rodney is under-rated.
Criminally under rated.

musica espetacular, só não encontro nenhum video com qualidade,é uma pena. ANTONIO MATOS BRASILIA-BRASIL
Should have paul mccartney fame, this was the country version of a "rap god" mic drop, you're not touching Rodney on Lyrics
Rodney was 53 years old when he busted out this song. He nearly rapped it, and did really good with it.
More PERFECTION.!. LOVE IT, ALL TIME.!.

"I don't understand"should be on your tombstone or the title of your autobiography.
God Bless Texas
At 2:52, what does Rodney say to the camera?
@cew 142. Looks like Rodney mouths the words "Safe sex".
I heard a story about Rodney having a 100 degree fever while he was filming this video. Can anyone authenticate the story please?
This guy needs a better agent

I don't either Rodney. I don't either.
Underated.
This song to me kind of comes off as a more modern version of "We Didn't Start The Fire".
...or Bellamy Bro. Fires Of Time... like those songs its DEEP and applies to right NOW!!!
I got that same vibe when I first heard this song too.
