Most people likely take the quarter round off first, that way you cover the edges. Without doing so, your cuts have to be even better, just like yours are. Nice work! I'm in the middle of doing mine now in the 12 x 24" tiles, same brand. I did have some small gaps to fill and I just used window and door caulk (it's something I can work with, water clean up).
Great job overall. It gives your bathroom a fresher look. 👍 You might want to apply caulking on your floors in between each tile to prevent water from getting under the titles and causing floor damage or mold.
What you should do is leave 1/8 inch gaps with spacers and use the pre mixed grout that is made for vinyl floor tiles. It is 10x nicer looking and completely water tight.
I've watched several videos like this and everyone must have perfectly lined floors. I did this to my small master bathroom and it's been a nightmare. None of my walls are straight, my tub is not straight, and my vanity is not straight. I was only able to lay down about 10 tiles in full. the rest have to go arouond the walls, corners, and bathroom fixtures, so several cuts, most not very good and it's taken me almost a week to get 2/3rds of it done with the hard parts not even done yet. RUclipsrs rarely show the headachs on these DIY projects and if they have them, they don't show how to overcome them, at least most of the one's I've seen. Glad you got your floors in without any issues.
When installing vinyl peel and stick, make a cross line at the exact center of the room, start laying the tile in the center of the room and work outwards.
Do we need to add any extra glue if the floor is a bit sloped? I have a shiny vinyl sheet flooring and bought the exactly same marble style flooring from HD.
Yo Bro' you did an excellent job, it's looking good. me personally I liked the before color. I guess it's a matter of choice of ones own style. anyway great tutorial, it was entertaining.
does anyone know if I want to install carpet later on down the road, if it can be put right over this peel and stick tile or would it all have to be ripped up? Nice job btw!
I plan on doing it in my rental house. However I would go for bigger 60x60cm tiles. I worry about seeing the gaps of the tiles under it on this vinyl. So I would like to fill up the gaps around the real tiles first to create a perfect floor first. How does this kind of flooring feel when you walk on it? I don't want to have a floor where it feels like walking on a plastic glued to a surface. I would also need to use it for my shower etc. do I need to seal the very small gaps between each sheet for that?

Hi I am a RUclipsr based in United Kingdom (UK) I have being watching Decorations and is really amazing. I would like to know the website you bought your PEEL AND STICK MARBLE VINYL TILES. Hopefully to hear from you. Thanks
just a dumb question, bbecause I am thinking of going with these tiles in the BR,But at the toilet, did you remove the toilet or just cut the tile to fit snug against the toilet? Again, maybe a dumb question
That was challenging. I measured and marked the tile. Then I cut it smaller than the line. I placed the tile around the toilet to make sure I didn’t cut it too large. Then I made the final cut. I think it would’ve been easier & faster if I removed the toilet. But what I did worked for me.
I started laying vinyl peel and stick tiles in the small apartment foyer. Layed them onto clean (ugly) existing ceramic tiles. But the grout lines faintly showed through. That was months ago. Feeling totally stuck. Not sure what to do???? Another comment suggested filling the grout lines of old tiles with a product. Please tell me what?
These adhere very well, but I bought a cheap can of spray adhesive that I sprayed on the floor before installing the tile. I don't think it's necessary, but it's cheap insurance and and quick to apply
You have to be careful mixing adhesives. Some un-bond what is already there and cause the tiles to lift. If fitting peel and stick, use a vinyl tile glue not just any old spray on glue.
That’s a great question. I’m coming up on 1 year now since I installed them and I have not seen any of the tile rise up or even appear to. I will make a 1 year follow up video soon.
Will the grout lines from the original floor eventually show? Iwill be laying over ceramic tile, and I am considering filling the grout lines to level them. I would use grout or leveling compound.
Why would anyone put garbage on top of a lively tile floor? You wouldn't glue you wouldn't glue linoleiom down on a REAL hardwood floor would you? Well then why would you even think to do something like this?? I'm just curious. Now I'm not really knocking linoleum self adhesive tiles. They have a place bit it's not in top of real Tiles. Their place is on a plywood floor not a real tile floor. Does anyone know it's around 7k dollars to have a real tile floor put in and then to cover it up with a 1 dollar a square foot peice of trash. I dint get people today I think they're all goofy. TRUTH 💯FACTS

Dud you see him covering his REAL tiles with REAL grout, with sticky back cheap stuff with no Grout?? Lol he'll be pulling it off within a year tops hoping he didn't mess up his perfectly good real floor. But he'll find out he fuckd it up and hence he'll be replacing the whole floor then. Hopefully he knows how to lay REAL tile. But ooh no he doesn't because he never would have done that. And to think all that because he didn't like the color all that much. It'll be the least of his concern in a year. The color that is. But i always said that color is not to bright this just reafirms that. Dim lights in the head that is not the sharpest bunch to evolve m a kws you wonder how nature didn't take care I'd that. Usually nature gets rid of the weak . TRUTH 💯FACTS
I’m sure if you leave big enough gaps water can fill them up. I’m not sure if water can get under the tiles though. I try not to spill any water on them unless I’m cleaning them.
I don’t think it makes a difference whether you remove the old vinyl or not. The only thing is you have to make sure the floor is free of everything before you start your installation.
I use Armstrong brand peel n stick tiles and that company advice that it is okay to lay over existing tile. So like others are saying just make sure the floor is clean. Also smooth and even (no nix and dings).

If the stickers are up against each other, there shouldn’t be a gap. So no need for caulking.

Seals over real ceramic and grout tiles with peel and stick vinyl.

The point of the sticker tiles is to be fast, easy, cheap, and NOT have to take off the quarter round.

That’s not a dumb question. If you are able to remove the toilet, the cut will be easier. I did not feel like removing it so I cut around it.
Suggestion, caulk around the edge under trim, more pro look.

Ok. So the peel and stick tile is bigger than existing tile. Isn't grout underneath create a crease / uneven area on peel and stick tile?

No it does not.
Will the moisture from the restroom use overtime affect the adhesive and cause these press on tiles to rise up?

I wish I had filmed that part but my camera died. I didn’t measure, I instead started with a small cut, walked my way little by little until it fit.
Is it possible to take it off without ruining the floor under?
I have tried but I don’t think so.
