I‘d love to see an episode about your staff and their background. They are such an important part of your project and seem so open and friendly when getting a glimpse of them. Thank you and your whole team for edjucating us about african wildlife, for giving us pictures that make us feel as a part of your project and for giving us such joy watching you!
I am not embarrassed to say that Meg is the Lion that inspired me to laugh again back when I joined the channel initially. That Lion has so much majestic joy that she has a spread amongst the viewing audience more in number than I am sure the sanctuary knows. I am happy to wear her t shirt and happiest to have her canvas print. I have her and Icarus as screen savers too. Watching ask Meg for the first time was a pivotal moment of time for me, and it was after my birthday this year that I became joyful and more jovial with laughter. So thanks to God, and thanks to Meg.
it is hard to believe that Meg is 20 years old she looks so active, some of that must be due to the care you give her and all the Animals in your care. Thank You Kevin for all you do for them.
@@mathildegaye8492 In the wild the average years are 8 to 10. 20 is impressive for Meg. But even more impressive is 18 years for the Male. In the wild the most Dominant Males usually live to be about 12 at their peek

Thank you for doing an update on Meg and Icarus!! 🥰 This made me smile and laugh! They are like an old couple - but did you see Meg’s spryness running through the bush and hopping over puddles! She’s not old and creaky yet! And Iccy, he immediately heads over to the young bucks to give them a hard time! 😂😂 Love it!!

From a side or longer distance away it's so smooth looking but then you get to those go-pro POVs and it's both jerky but there's this sense of POWER and PURPOSE to her strides. Also seeing those paws up close when Kevin gets headbutted by her just incredible. About the size of your face. Massive animals. And it's even more incredible to see your own little house cats behave in ways that are similar to these great cats.
Hello , I actually think that Meg and Icarus are doing fairly well considering how old they are and they’re independent ways. I love the lions talking back to you and always showing you acceptance and love for you. Thank you Kevin for sharing your lions and stories.

I tell you, those two are just plotting together to give old Kevin the biggest workout possible! LOL Old married couple is right! These two are really embedded deep in this old lady's heart! Thank you, Kevin, for sharing these wonderful creatures with all of us!!
That was cute: Icarus was near Thor's pride, rubbing it in that he & Meg were on enrichment walk. Meg stretching her legs , showing that she's still very fit! When Meg walked into the tall grass, she blended right in, WOW!!! I bet lions hearing is much better then people, although maybe Meg wasn't actively hunting the birds? That was very sweet: Meg getting out of the truck to check on Icarus! 🥰🥰🥰
It’s I love Friday with The Lion Whisperer! Meg is such an adorable sweetie. I love to see Icarus warming up to Meg! As always beautiful and loving animals and Kevin thank you for sharing them with us! 🦁🦁🥰🥰
Meg loves you, Kevin, so much because you have been there consistently for all of her life. Icarus may be a welcome lion friend, but no one, whether human or lion, will ever take your place in Meg's mind. You, my friend, are her pride. But at the same time, through patience and faith, it is so wonderful to see this working out for both Meg and Icarus. Thank you for what you do for the lions and other wildlife. And thank you for letting us be part of the journey!
Kevin, I think Meg is happier seeing you!! She loves you soooo much it’s so beautiful to see her with you!! Need more Meg time! Thanks for all you do God bless
I just love watching Meg. She seems to be content with Icarus. She wants to be near by. These two remind me of my parents. They want to be close by but they want there own sleep spaces or bedroom lol. My parents been married almost 66 yrs they are 87 yrs & 84 yrs. Just around Meg and Icarus age. It was great checking up on these two beautiful Lions. I loved see the video of Meg and Amy this week as well. Amy is so missed.
I still think Meg and her back-cam would still make the best ad for GoPro, with the footage of her running and rolling around 😄 These two are just lovely. Poor Icarus doesn't seem to have made quite the impression he'd like yet.
The two of them are amazing, as is the entire staff of the sanctuary. They thrive because of the care you give them. I love seeing these videos! God Bless, Kevin!
This is so funny 🤣 that Kevin says that he doesn't know why Meggie likes him better than Icarus. Because she's had a warm relationship with him for nearly 20 years. She hasn't been with Icarus that long. Those Lions look amazing for 18 and 20 years old. I don't think they'd live that long in the wild. Certainly they have less stress than if they had to hunt in the wild all the time. I'm glad to see how Meg and Icarus are doing.
I just love what a professional Meg has become with her GoPro, prancing around with a job. When I remember the early days of her acclimating to the new equipment.
Sorry to hear that 😔 loosing a pet is truly so difficult and underrated in our world. I lost my Belgian shepherd a few years ago and still think about her regularly. The bond never fades! 🙏🏻

Meg can almost be called his daughter in LION form. The 27 Lions is ACTUALLY Kevin's IMMEDIATE family! There is no other words to describe it! GOD BLESS you and your family Kevin.

Meg and Icarus are certainly golden oldies. They are very handsome lions and so lively. You have done a wonderful job with them and all of the animals at the sanctuary. Thank you! 💜💜💜
When you actually think about it....being a part of a lion’s life for 20 years is pretty remarkable! That’s a long time....a long time of love and intense bonding. I hate the thought of Meg not being here anymore. These lions are all Kevin’s babies despite their age.

Meg looks so awesome for 20 years old. I bet there aren’t no 20 year old lionesses in the wild, that look as good as Meg. Meg still jumps around like a youngster. You took exceptional care of these lions
Thanks to your care, no wonder they’re happy, and Kevin you look great with the gray!!! I’m so happy Meg isn’t alone anymore. She looks amazing, and the most efficient huntress.
I am so happy to see beautiful Meg still responds to you as if nothing has changed in the past year. Thank you for bringing the Meg-cam. Icarus is still my Gorgeous George. I am hoping for their cat bond to become closer. They are both such great cats. 🦋
On safari in Kenya, we stopped to watch 3 lionesses hunting a warthog by the dirt track in similar grasslands. I was the one to spot the cluster of adolescents. They were very close to the road and to us! They do blend perfectly. As their coats are not one colour, but a mix of the palette of the colours of dried grasslands.
Kevin you are and always will be the love of Meg' life!!!! When you're around no one else exists for Meg💝 Despite how handsome Icarus is, she only has eyes for you.
Meg being happy is the best kind of video on the channel. I really like to see Meg, she's the lioness i've been following the most and she has had the most exciting life. I wouldn't be surprised if she happily lives to 40 breaking all records.
Ahhhh, so good to see Meg and Icky! Thank you for that update Kevin. They both look wonderful! I'm wondering , if that set back with Bobcat is slowly healing. Just goes to show how fragile the bonding can be in older cats. Bless both their hearts! They both look fantastic! Thanks for that update Kevin!🦁💖
setback with bobcat? when did that happen? the only setback that i remember is with Yame after the health checkup on george (which took other experts to help him). and the other one is with that lion that cant see right (old lion) and almost attked kevin (kevin noticed it and hurriedly went into the cage)
@@madtech5153 They put Meg and Icky next door to Bobcat and Gabby. Bobcat and Icky started roaring agitated with each other. Meg came up to give Icky backup, and Icky kind of turned on her. Ever since they have been distant with each other. It's better now, but Meg doesn't exactly trust it. Kevin and the team moved Meg and Icky away from Bobcat right away. So they can't be neighbors.
What a nice surprise to see Meg and Icarus. They are just too cute together. I can imagine Icarus chuckling to himself as he headed over to "visit" with the other lions.
I swear I cry near every time I watch your videos. Most especially when you are with Meg. You both have a bond that is clear to anyone who cares to look.
I'm SOOOO happy that the two of them have eachother. It's just beautiful. Everything you do there is beautiful. I have visiting your sanctuary on my bucket list for sure.
Has it already been a year? I can hardly believe it. Doesn't he always goes to the fence. Meggy is so beautiful. It's true they all look so good, healthy & young. I've been watching you longer than I'd care to admit. Time truly flies.
Baby steps. They've already made huge strides especially considering their advanced ages. I'm happy about their progress and glad they have each other. Meg is looking pretty spry and Icarus is also in good form. Lions are the only gregarious cats so I believe it's good they are sharing the enclosure and each other's company. 💗🦁🦁💗 Good work, Kevin!🤗
Im so happy to see my girl Meg being , healthy, happy and still preferring you to any lion. Kev and Meg love has been my favorite before our beloved Amy passed. Its wonderful to see how much she loves you rubbing on you snd hugging up next to you and the bittersweet Meg, Amy, and Kevin story which is wonderful. I will be very sad if anything happens to her. ❤❤❤
OMG, they have been together a year. Did not seem like a year. Seems like the kids didn't want the vacay to end. Have to say, though, seeing you with Meg again...love, memories, and heartwarming feels of the Meg and Amy days. Thanks for sharing with us. 💓🐾💓
I love how gentle they are when taking food out of your hands absolutely amazing thx so much for all you do to help these beautiful animals live long and healthy lives ❤💙🇦🇺💙❤
"but Meg still flairs her lip at him" she doesn't want him getting any ideas or think he can boss her around. She is setting boundaries. If Amy were still around Icky would have to run for his life....like Suja. lololololol.
Have been looking forward to such a video for a while…Yes, Meg is definitely spoiled! All of your furry family is. But they truly deserve it. ❤️Counting the days ‘til our visit in September to meet them all❤️🙏🏻🐾😻🐾🦁

Wow! It seems like it was just a couple of months ago you got them together. I can't believe it has been a year! That is incredible. Always a joy to see Meg and the special bond the two of you have.
Like to think when you found Icarus at Thors fence, he was talking back to you…”just wanted a bit of peace Kevin, honestly!” Meg is such a gorgeous girl 🧡
Its wonderful to see how content these to are. It only confirms that they are alike humans. At their age it is less important to follow each other as it is in just knowing they are around!🥰
Just remember Kev. Dads are daughters first loves. She will always love you best. I loved when you finally found him, meg peaks over the top of the truck. Like” where the fluff were you ich?” Glad they have each other. Its a huge change as they both spend their lives with same sexed cats. (I know about meg being a special girl/boy) but now they look very different from each other. Life times of temperament and habits it adapt and get used too. I think they are good companions to each other, we all hope for a big love story. But maybe someone to play checkers with its just as nice.
Awww great update! Can't believe it has been a year. I laughed when Meg just waited by the truck as if to say "I don't want to watch a bunch of guys trying to look cool around each other"😒😁

Kevin you are and always will be the love of Meg' life!!!! When you're around no one else exists for Meg💝 Despite how handsome Icarus is, she only has eyes for you.
Your relationship with Meg and all your animals is beautiful! Thank you.
As you raised Meg, she will always love you - you in a way, gave her life, animals have such deep gratitude, unlike the people species...
Meg being happy is the best kind of video on the channel. I really like to see Meg, she's the lioness i've been following the most and she has had the most exciting life. I wouldn't be surprised if she happily lives to 40 breaking all records.
Ahhhh, so good to see
Meg and Icky! Thank you for that update Kevin. They both look wonderful! I'm wondering , if that set back with Bobcat is slowly healing. Just goes to show how fragile the bonding can be in older cats. Bless both their hearts! They both look fantastic! Thanks for that update Kevin!🦁💖
Thanks for watching!
setback with bobcat? when did that happen?
the only setback that i remember is with Yame after the health checkup on george (which took other experts to help him). and the other one is with that lion that cant see right (old lion) and almost attked kevin (kevin noticed it and hurriedly went into the cage)
@@karherineware3508 wow how did i missed this, what video was this?
@@madtech5153 watch the video "Moving Day:The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" It explains my comment, and what happened.
Thanks Katherine - they certainly are very happy together!
Meg runs for not only herself but Amy now. Beautiful Meg, Thanks Kevin. ❤️🤎
Yes, but you're her first love! She loves you!! I did enjoy it, very much! Thanks for the great visit!
I LOVE IT WHEN THEY GO ON A WALK ABOUT. BEAUTIFUL
❤️Counting the days ‘til our visit in September to meet them all❤️🙏🏻🐾😻🐾🦁
Glad you enjoyed it! And looking forward to you visiting us in September!
I hope you have the time of your life! What an incredible trip that's gonna be!!! ❤
@@AmandaPaige71 thank you very much 🙏🏻I am sure we will!
Yes, a visit is unforgettable!
@@danieladobner201 Thank you🙏🏻We’re so excited😊
I can't believe this guy hand feeds meat to his lions!! That's trust and respect.
Delightful to see Meg so active and enjoying her walk. Sweet ol Icarus. What a great effort to create this new pride - with patience, understanding and love. Thanks for sharing!
It amazes me how well meg disappeared into the savanah grass with in seconds. Love love love lion whisperer content.
That is awesome to see Meg and Icarus together ! Great work Kevin ! Please make more videos like this one I'm sure we all love them !
Wow! It seems like it was just a couple of months ago you got them together. I can't believe it has been a year! That is incredible. Always a joy to see Meg and the special bond the two of you have.
Thanks Kev making us realize how wonderful nature is.Bobcat and Gabby are my absolute favourites ❤
I laughed when Meg just waited by the truck as if to say "I don't want to watch a bunch of guys trying to look cool around each other"😒😁
I love Kevin's comments like the names he comes up with like golden oldes
Thank you for the update. It’s so awesome seeing Meg & Icarus doing well and getting along. I just love the lions.
I’m fascinated by this, I can’t get enough of watching you, I just love big cats and I envy your beautiful relationship with them
14:30 "you can’t force love" 😂 he looks like he just realized that
