This is so relatable It's destroying me slowly slowly like a slow poison, all the memories associated with being sick or someone being sick is repetitively and continuously projected in my mind like an endless, continuous, film roll I do everything to distract myself but the thoughts won't go and it eats my head up from inside, I suffer from panic attacks and simply don't know what to do 😣😣💔😭 Mine is so bad that if I see anyone acting unusual I always feel they will throw up... So I prepare myself to do whatever's required... And if I hear, I cover my ears, sibg loudly so I can't hear it, or sometimes feel how to leave that place 😭
I admire you so much for doing this video. I took the liberty to share your video with a client of mine who has the same phobia and am hoping he opens up in therapy.
Much respect for you, i'm 20 going through the same thing, sometimes it really feels like is unbearable, you had stomach problems too, how did you dealt with travelling?
Hey dude - Thanks for sharing your comment. I know the feeling of it being unbearable. It feels like no one will understand, and that there are almost tripwires EVERYWHERE that you can't believe other people aren't seeing. In all honesty, I am still super careful with what I eat, especially whilst travelling. I tend not to eat anything particularly big before getting on a flight and tend to travel to countries that have a good standard of hygiene. Is there anything you particularly struggle with?
@@JamesParsons1i got a lot of acid reflux and panic attacks, that's what i'm struggling with mainly, and panic usually comes when i'm eating so my stomach blocks and i have nausea did you had the same symptoms?
Hey Leah- thank you for your comment. I am doing much much better now thank you. How about yourself? Feel free to Dm me on Instagram @james_parsons__ if you want to chat! JP
I don't think anyone can fully recover from OCD, but I am in a much better place, ordering foods I used to consider too ‘high risk’ in a restaurant, like chicken or medium cooked burgers. But yes it is significantly better :)
Manni, I'm really sorry to hear of your situation. I'm working with Internal Family Systems for my emetophobia and it's helping. You can start working on your own and get to know your emetophobic part. Working with a therapist is ideal, so I hope you can get some help. All the best. x

Sorry to hear it’s having such a destructive effect on your life. Have you tried CBT counselling? That worked really well for me
i also used to suffer from emetophobia after seeing my sister get sick constantly. Thanks for sharing your story.
“Everyone is going through something” so very true. Sadly. Peace, young bro.
