Which was written by Major (Ret) Anwaar Hossain who was a East Pakistani (Now Bangladesh) "Commando" of "Special Service Group (SSG)" of the Pakistan Army then. If only I had read the book ten years before back in my college days... I would have prepared myself to join Bangladesh Army.....

Battle gear adds as much as 50kg, I pointed it out to people who didn't notice, and after that I said what you are saying exactly, 'not fair to compare' specifically because it's not a race.. read again three times... Slowly

Otherwise there'd be more US soldiers with him. And you're supposed to be out of breath after running an obstacle course. It's your body's way of decreasing body temperature and increasing oxygen level in your body.
Good run there mate. Does anyone have any idea how much the weight of the gear the troops were carrying was? Also as a Bangladeshi I have a few complaints about the discipline and attitude of the Bangladeshi troops shown here. They seriously need to be trained more severely and conditioned to be more aggressive while maintaining excellent discipline and body language at the same time. The few I saw mucking about was a poor example indeed. They need to be trained to be more motivated, energetic and also develop something called "controlled aggression". In any case I look forward to more joint exercises etc between these two nations. Keep up the good work guys we have a lot to learn!!

Or, logistical support of the formation can not bear all the weight. Also, BD-08 (Bangladesh Army Standard issued rifle) is a variant of Chinese Type 81. Meaning it weighs around 3.5KG empty and 4.5KG when loaded with 30 round magazine.

They usually carry 40 KG's backpack. With that they carry BD08 rifle which is almost 10 kG.
