I have been interested in this machine for a few months now, and what interests me is making coffee with it, because I am tired of having a Vertuo plus an OL.. I want just one.. but does the coffees have a foam like Vertuo pods make in Nespresso? if not I wouldn't want it.. I have seen some making coffee and it looks like it has a crema but when I saw that pull tab for "filtered" coffee it makes me now rethink what I thought I had previously saw.. also I saw a L'or Barista Machine with more buttons, are there two models?

I’ll try and upload a video to show the crema on the XXL double lungo and filter coffee soon for you ☕️🙂👍🏼

I've just been looking at the offer on the lor website.
You can get 200 capsules and the coffee unit.
    You get mainly espresso capsules.
But I'm not a fan of espresso.
Is it just a case of adding more water to an espresso shot to have a normal coffee?

    • @A2BProductions

Hi 👋 You can do that but you might need to use more than one pod and even then it may not be as strong as you’d like it. We have a video on how to make an americano with Nespresso on the channel in case this helps.

Does anyone know if you can make just a simgle Americano type drink? For example, run an expresso fr9m a single pod and then press again to just pass hot water through...?

I often do this with mine. I use 1 or 2 espresso pods, then usually press the lungo button with no pod for just a hot water top up. I think this may also help flush out the system

    • @Tendeza_

I'm not sure about the first part of your question, but yes you can let just hot water run through, just press one of those buttons without putting a pod in it.

So far I can only find one pod (double lungo profundo) that gives a large mug of americano. Even if i put a double pod it only gives a half cup even if i hit the lungo button. I have to press the button again. A friend who bought the same machine is having the same problem.

Hi 👋 The bigger pods are for a double espresso size and the smaller for single espresso. You can use the same button because the machine can read which type of pod you have put in it. Hope this helps 😊

No reviewer of his machine informs the viewer of an important statistic: How much coffee - in grams - is contained in each pod? The manufacturer deliberately withholds this information on their web site. I have written to them, but the silence was deafening.

The manufacturer sells hundreds of different products - L'OR is just one in their range. This coffee machine and pods are almost impossible to find in high street stores. I predict the product will be quietly discontinued within 12 months.
