It would depend on the sound card on the PC. If you have a really good ( professional) Card then rca may be better, but unless you have that sort of card the USB is the preferred method as the deck will do a good job of digitalising the output. All my stuff is USB and I cannot fault it. The USB is not computer/card dependent. It is always the same.

hi any tape cassette that runs at 1 7/8 is very poor i hear the tascam 3 3/4 ips decks are very good you can't good fast i have a pimped up cassette deck runs at 7 1/2 yes 7 1/2 the servo motor died so i put in a old motor and drive belt in a tascam 238 at last it would run right
OK, the Voice over software is a bit, How to put it? Awkward,. However, it was quicker than doing the voice-over myself with the numbers and things. It is not as easy as it may seem to do a Technical voice over. It is easy to trip and fall over the numbers. The intonation is difficult. It is also tough to sound as upbeat as the auto voice. I do know I can and do, do it better when it is something that matters. That is why I used it only at the beginning. This RUclips thing is a multiskilled thing, with the ability to suck whole days from the week, and you end up with just a few minutes that count. I thought getting it out fast was worth it. The Anadialog Videos had just been released, and he was misrepresenting the numbers. How can a Cassette deck with 0.25% Wow and Flutter be called mediocre, yet a reel to reel with the same figure is called excellent. I shall endeavour to not use the auto voice in future. That is an interesting project. The motors from the Dubbing decks are made to run at double speed so they may be a good source of spares for you.
