I think it works well with your hair, looks good 🙂 I just ordered it.. I never used pomade before but what I like with this one, is that it gives some shine, but not too much. And from what people say, the hold is really good.. Kind of excited to try it out.
Didn’t work for me my hair straight-slightly wavy, the shines is there but not a very good hold for me, I’m mixed Asian but my hair is not thicker nor too thin, this product kinda globs pieces of my hair not all together so it’s not good for a slick back in my opinion and I feel like it kind of Weight my hair down so not good for pompadour and unless you’re using hair spray the hold doesn’t last long, In windy weather, I can’t say for super thick or textured hair tho
Hello! Great feedback. Heavymade is an unusual product, in my experience, it has great hold on thick textured hair but slick backs are only possible on straight thin hair and its a little too heavy for high pompadours. Which style are you trying to create?
Hello! It will lock in some moisture which will add to the shine but the shine will fade as the day goes on as your hair will dehydrate and you’ll be left with the shine of the product. Hope that makes sense. 😊
I'm in problem because I got wavy hairs and the issue is previously I was using black label shape paste and when the product was over i just recently shifted to heavy made and the results are that I can't get my hairs into shape because after using the blow dryer i used this product and because of its gel like consistency it again shaped my hair to look wavy and the time it takes to dry my hairs become again wavy which i don't want and while using the paste it was not that bad it worked pretty well but I want to try new products. Actually I thought it will work like pomade but it was little different to what i thought. I'm living in St Lucia where ASOS take around 1 month to deliver product so I can't switch to any other and also there is no such salon or place from where i could buy so I'm left with heavymade so please help me or guide me how to style my hairs. I hope you got it what I mean to say. please find a solution for me :)
Great detail, I believe I can help. Let's go though it. First off; The term "pomade" has been taken over by products that are simply NOT a classic pomade. in my opinion Heavy-made is not a classic pomade, it's does not create all-day "slick back" styles when used with curly/wavy hair no matter how much you use. Second; it sounds like you're blow drying the wave out of your hair to make it straight and manageable. If so, you should stick with a matte or semi matte product. Lastly: if shape paste works for you then stick with it however if you're looking to try a new product I would recommend the following: in no particular order : - Morris Motley Treatment styling balm. - Morris Motley Chrome - Hanz de Fuko Claymation - Hanz de Fuko Quicksand If you're looking for a more flexible hold, try these. - v76 Molding paste - Patricks M2 or M3 I hope this helps? I'm from India studying medicine in St Lucia. I came to London in Jan,2018 and bought some products to test just like black label shape paste and it worked pretty well. Now I'll try these too! From a long time I was searching for a guy who have wavy hair and can review the products for the small population with thick and wavy hairs... lol. Again thank you for guiding me and helping me out. Hello! Thank to for your kind words and sub 😊 my hair is naturally wavy so I’m always trying to get it under control. With hair like (thick and straight) yours, I would suggest that you visit a high quality barber who can suggest a way to make it a bit “choppy” to add texture, do not allow the barber to thin it out with thinning scissors, around the side to create a clean taper is fine but aggressive thinning into the crown will leave it limp and sad. Start with a light textured cut.. add some “putty” or “clay” to the tips and style with your fingers. Another suggestion would be to get it short around the sides long on top, no texturising and experiment with a “clay” type product. I’ll be making more vids this month so I’ll see if I can create one to help you. 😎
Muazo when I think of a pomade, especially one that is suppose to give a high shine, should at the least smooth down frizz to give more of a sleek look. But you’re right now there’s clay pomades and cream pomades and texture pomades so the term really is a bit broader these days but to me, HDF seemed like it was advertised as a traditional water based pomade
