    Careful with pin 4 consult your diagram with obd PIN number. After that everything works. My problem was the triangle won’t turn off. Then VSA light comes on with speed over 40K/h. When turn engine off then on again the VSA is off but the triangle is still on. The problem persists, until I done this procedure everything back to normal. NO MORE WARNING LIGHTS. NO MORE VSA LIGHT.

    Thanks for the video. Except for the pin discrepancy - you refer to pin 5 in your video, not 4, it worked like a charm. Thanks for the help!

    I tried a XTool D7 OBD2 scanner and it turned on a couple dashboard lights. Kinda funny because none of the gauge actuation functions are supported (2007 Honda Pilot). Couldn't get the VSA light to go out. Tried what you showed a couple of times and it didn't work. Ended up using the scanner to clear codes in pretty much every module it could, then tried your jumpered method and it worked.
    Very nice. Thank you. 🙂

      I had the same happen to me when I was using my new Xtools D8BT to scan for codes on my 2005 Honda Accord just a few days ago - nothing was wrong with the car, I was tinkering. After the scan, and clearing a low battery voltage code that was set years ago, the triangle light was illuminated. It can be reset using the Xtools scan tool, but it's not under gauges. It was in an obscure location within the Honda sub menus - there was an area where I was able to reset the yaw & ABS sensor, and this reset the indicator light on the dash. Next time I use my tool with the car, I'll document the exact menu sequence and post. It's likely the same, or very similar, for your Xtools D7 tool. I am now wondering if resetting the codes while on a sloped driveway with the Xtools scan tool triggered the condition. While going through the yaw reset procedure, I was instructed to be certain the vehicle was level, with the steering wheel centered, and the wheels pointing straight. Had the same happen with a 2006 Chevy, but it reset the triangle light on it's own once the vehicle was started.

    Would it work for Honda Odessy

    Dude that actually worked. Process was just slightly different on my 2009 ridgeline. First part exactly the same, second part held pin 9 to ground the whole time with alligator clip wire, had to press and hold VSA button while turning ignition on... then the very last part had to hold the VSA button again, there was a beep and then the triangle exclamation light went off and stayed off. Nice coke nail BTW.

    I’m confused about the second VSA part and the part that you connect to the door! I think I can do the first part!

    • @macdaddypimpping
      @macdaddypimpping  9 месяцев назад +1

      Connect Pin 9 to the ground(door screw), you can write down the direction on paper so you can follow step by step.

    what is pin 4 and pin 9 in 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL ? Please let me know, since I can not start my car, the the green key light keeps blinking, and now the OBD2 port shows no sign of connection, after doing what you recommended to reset the ABS, VSA light.

  • @jgoeke1

    This works but only if you get the correct pins. These are horribly marked and you can easily get pin 16 instead of pin 9. If so you will blow the ACG S fuse (15a) which will give you the flashing green immobilizer key lamp on the dash, and the car will then not start. To test that you have the correct pin, test the pin with a volt meeter first. Pin 16 will have 12-14 volts on it at all times. Pin 9 will not and no reading. Pin 4 and 5 mix up works out for they are both grounds.

  • @theurbancamper007

    I'd love to know how it works as pin 9 is blank and pin 4 is ground.

      Here is my fix: ruclips.net/video/IkGWSX5IMOQ/видео.html, if your doesn't work then your sensor might be damaged and need to be replace with a new one.

  • @castinn
    @castinn 2 года назад +4

    I believe you are countng the pins incorrectly. The pins are numbered from right to left, so the pin you call 4 is actually pin 5. Pin 9 is correct.
