Lovely circuit, nice to see it being done in reverse. I gotta admit - I do have the patience to wait, but at the same time, I gotta ask: When will we return to GTA for more racing streams? 😂

We have a small breakaway trio begining to form of Impega, Ninetales and Gliscor, with the next four very close behind. The midfield here seems to be even more competitive than ever, so no doubt this will be an awesome season to watch going forward.
there is something inherently pleasing about things protruding out of smooth surfaces, flaps, pop-up headlights etc.

I’ve always loathed pop-up headlights, sorry. I always associated them with cheap cars, since that’s all I saw, and they fell out of fashion when I was a child.
I'd love a straight line with some of the new cars again! Ooh or a Halloween one with the Franken stange and the two hearses!

Grosjean, Spa 2012 Moment
I hate the hotring hellfire because that is not what those roof flaps are for. They pop-up when the car spins to slow the car and spin it back the right way to avoid the car blowing over due to intense airflow hitting the car going backwards. The flaps aren't even powered, they just rise due to the negative pressure when the car is going backwards. It's like how the hustler has a rumble seat that you can't sit in, just 5% more effort and it would've been great.
Fantastic racing though.

Great racing and the risk/reward calculations on everyone's part were fun to watch :)
Rockstar has modelled those cars so that when you hit the breaks and the flaps come up the traction value increases.

Yep, to help slow and re-orient in a spin, as well as provide additional downforce when the cars are sideways or reversed to prevent rollovers. Pretty damn effective safety devices

last lap disaster? So normal Failrace shenanigans then? I love the Gauntlet Classic, it looks great, sounds great and handles decently. The nascar thing in the second race on the other hand is a weird beast. The silliest thing is the flaps actually make the car have more grip the more you brake...
That is SO UNFORTUNATE
Those idiot flaps are actually for keeping the car from becoming a personal aircraft when spun backwards at superspeedways.
Only NASCAR could create a more dangerous situation by putting restrictor plates on cars instead of just detuning, or putting v-6's in Daytona and Talladega cars. Plate racing and other changes are why I gave up on NASCAR years ago...
That is also why I gave up on NASCAR years ago. It didn't help that at times the rule book appeared to be written in pencil (with changes sometimes happening during a race) to either benefit or handicap certain racers.

I don’t know if it is a good way to drive the hotring hellfire but in fast corners i mostly keep stomping on the brakes through the middle of it, so roof flaps come up and give me an amount of grip that is probabily a zero too much
Having the brakes on mid corner actually increases traction more than driving normally
