Doc, can Saw Palmetto supplement replace the use of finestride ? Or is it just another marketing gimmick ?
Only pharmacological dose will help. Saw palmetto has very mild DHT blocking properties but it is not sufficient to rein in the baldness gene.
After my hair transplant i was taking minoxidil..when i stopped taking minoxidil..my transplanted hairs and few of my existing hairs hv fallen out.. its been 2 years since am off medication...if i take minoxidil and start finastride will my hair grow again?
Yes if hair are still there though thinner. Get a consultation.

Not compulsory if your situation is such that your baldness is stable and there is a contraindication to it's use.
Sir is styling/combing hair to back direction after 4 and half months hair transplant okay will it affects results?.
Don't comb too much. Twice a day is fine.

After 5 days once the post procedure medications are over.
Hey doc I've been using dutasteride 0.5mg everyday for the last 2 months and im still shedding(but mostly tiny miniaturised hairs)does that mean dutasteride is working
You will need to wait for 4-6 months to see. But I think it is working. It is a strong potent DHT blocker.

the clinic planted grafts on bald area n as well as some grafts in mid scalp ,the existing hairs together
So while applying minoxidil , I have apply those area which are with existing hair or not ??
Because in future if I stop using minoxidil after 6 month the existing hair will fall ??
That is your choice. You need to apply over planted areas. Are you taking Finasteride as well or just Minoxidil topical?
What are your thoughts on using hair concealers(Caboki) every day 45 days post-op?
You can after the crusts come off if you are not using topical Minoxidil since if you do you will have to wash off the hair fiber daily.

Great channel! One question. I take 1mg daily and at about 12 weeks I start to experience some sexual side effects as it builds up. How long do you suggest stopping to wash it out? And then continue taking 1mg. Thank you
4-6 weeks usually becomes fine as the bosy adjusts.

Sir i am 24 years old taking finastride 1mg for 5 months one year ago with no side effèct .The result was amazing with finstrides so i stop it . 5 to 6 months later i face aggressive hairfall again due to which i started finstrides again, now this is my 3rd month aňd this time result is also grateful and stratified, But from 5 days i feel somtime very mild testicular pain , actually i can describe it that i feel very discomfort in my testes from 5 days i am so worried what should i do dr because it very beneficial for me and due to discomfort in my testes i am also worried. I need your reply what should i do continue or stop ????????
You need to stop and get yourself checked by a doctor first.

At this age you really do not need to but if you can, 6 months on Finasteride will give you a good result.

My temper line is bald + i have thin native hairs which turns to grade 3 .
The doc said me i have good donor & you are good candidate for hair transplant even though i am only 23. After surgery they gave me medicine of 8 months including fenastride.
Its been 2month since i am on fenastride
And i am feeling very less type of side effects like less libido and sex desire
I also dont know its really because of fenastride or not ( m confused)
What if i only take fenastride for 6 month and leave it ?
Is there any chances of hairfall ??
Because i dont want to be on fenastride for life long ?

I have 2querries regarding topical minoxidil?
1-i want to know about dose (i.e. O.5ml vs 1ml??)of topical minoxidil 2% to be taken for 2 weeks in night after fue hair transplant 2500 graft for gr 3aga also dose of the 5% after 2weeks ??
Q2-minoxidil to be applied in planted area only or to be applied in crown and vertex non planted region /non donor too??
A1: If you are applying only to the 2500 graft area- -5 ml will do.
A2: If these areas are thinning and you wish to make them better. But remember when you stop it, the hair will go back to their original condition.

Hi doctor I am 25 years of age I have done my hair transplant a month ago and been prescribed medications such as topical minoxidil for a year, Finasteride for 6 months and Biotin for 1 year which I have started for to take from a week now so I wanted to ask this important question after the medications prescribed to me are done I get the results hopefully by the said period of time after a hair transplant and once the prescribed medication are done for the hair transplant would I face hair loss or hair thinning issues again with my existing hairs in the future months to follow?

Baldness is progressive. If you are young it is more so even after a hair transplant you will continue to bald.

Hi Doctor, I've been using finasteride and started getting results within 6 months.
I'm aware that smoking is injurious to health and trying to quit it but was just curious if smoking ciggerates will lesser the effects of finasteride? I smoke 3-4 smokes daily not more than that. Can you please answer this? Is there any connection with smoking and finasteride?
