Since I am from Switzerland and let my masks build by him I know the owner and creater of RXS personally and he told me once he is able to produce them in larger quantities the price will eventually drop.
I played goalie all my life and just started playing again at 39 after a 9 year hiatus and I had never heard of goalies wearing knee pads under the leg pads but going to look into them now.
@@BonesyTV Haven't seen many pics of him from this season, but he wore them last season in Carolina. In some pics you can see the tell-tale shape of the carbon plate.
I mean I was wearing the same type of knee guard since the Reebok days so I guess it’s not too surprising to see someone rocking an older set like that
Great video Dustin! Very well done review. The knee guards look amazing! I'm glad you like how they look and function. I don't even want to look and see how expensive they are. I already want a set and I'll just be disappointed if I look. Thanks again for doing the review. You are pushing yourself and your channel to the next level. Keep putting out great content buddy! Love the channel!!
I actually STILL rock the Koho Swiss Knee guards! I had to ‘mod’ them a bit, of course.. but I DO love them. These Do look like tanks, but also innovative. I’d probably throw hockey socks over them for a more hidden type look. Now we will need a updated review with some in-game action opinions pls 👍😎👌
Nice man! I know a couple other guys that still have them too. But yeah I like to use socks with these I feel like exposed knee guards could damage your leg pads
@@PeteNice29 For sure… I can see that. If I did that with mine, I’m sure I’d take out a knee cap or damage my thigh.. It helps cover that 5-hole though!! 👊🤘😎
I’ve heard good things about neurotracker but haven’t actually used it. I really like vizual edge though. Great workout for the eyes and shows the progress you make over time
@@BonesyTV that's cool, one thing I noticed is that vizual is more expensive even with your discount. but neuro is not taking debit so...it's about a choice I guess
Just finished watching. Not gonna lie, they are kinda OP especially with the "custom" feel you can achieve. Great product. Anyone know what knee guards most pros use today? Im running Bauer Supremes, love em
Wow!! They look like tanks. How are they weight wise? Is the hard shell a lightweight fiberglass? I like how they integrate with the Lefevre pads. I will be following the link to get more info from the site. Thanks Dustin.
@@BonesyTV Thanks for the info. I looked at the price in Swiss Francs and was hoping conversion would be 4 CAD to 1 CHF but unfortunately it was not. Definitely pro level pricing.
If you are facing heavy shots DO NOT get these RXS Knee Protectors. I wore them for two weeks. I have a huge bruise right above my knee as a result. These things need far more padding behind the large plastic protector. Definitely not worth the money.
@@BonesyTVHit the protective shell and then the little gap between the cap protector and foam is the weak link in the design. I could email you a pic and where the puck hit along with a pic of the bruise it left.
I'm pretty used to sticker shock as a goalie, but $470USD for knee guards is mental.
Agree
Haha I was definitely shocked too
470!! damn!!

Nice!!! I figured the price was due to expensive production

Reimer still uses the Koho/RBK Swiss knee guards. Luongo and Giguere both wore them. They were popular with Allaire goalies
I remembered there being a few other guys but I couldn’t think of who.
Reiner still uses them??

I used to rock those but pulled off the carbon plates. Interfered with things a bit too much.

Ok, now I’m convinced. I gotta get a pair myself
Dooooiittttttt
I love my RXS Kneeguards! The best that i ever had 🥰💪🏻👍🏻
Nice!!! Yeah I’ve always had a hard time finding anything better than what I was using but these take the cake for sure
I also got 2 RXS GTO masks i Love it!!! 💪🏻 i think you should try them also 😉
They must be nice if you have two! I’d love to them out. They look awesome!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

would you say Vizualedge is better or same as Neurotrakerx?

I’ve been in the same set of CCM knee guards. Reebok made the same thing too. But these are my new favorites
😳 I hope they sent those for free for you to review. I’ve been considering PAW knee pads.
PAW knee pads are the best. When you first put them on they seem uncomfortable but when you get on the ice I didn't even notice I was wearing them.
Yeah I’ve heard great things about PAW

They’re super light! The shell is like a thick hard plastic.

Hahaha yeah maybe with added interest they’ll lower the price or come out with a cost friendly version
@@BonesyTV Fingers crossed because they look amazing....and basically a custom fit to your measurements.
I made myself custom ones… light weight, none bulky and comfortable.
Nice!!! I’d like to see those. I was talking to someone else who was going to try to make their own too
Seems like landing on straps or other components would eventually start to become noticeable. Foam doesn't last forever.
Yeah true. But with it being more of a knee brace there aren’t any kind of straps to land on. And the foam has been holding up REALLY well so far
@@BonesyTV Ah, looked like the velcro comes up under the knee. If not my comment is retracted :)
I wish I could get a set but they are salty

Oof I've never had anything like that happen. Did the puck hit the protective shell or directly on top of your kneecap?

Yeahhhh got a little excited about making my own mid roll ads
Too long commercials, forget it, just collecting advertisement money...
Look great and performance looks good but way too much $ . I'll stick with my CCM Pro's .
Yeah it’s tough to look past the price tag. CCM pros are good too
