One of the best things intermittent fasting has done for me is the cathartic boost the willpower required has given me! I can be a little hungry. It’s not going to hurt me. I’m not deprived I’m strong and healthy! Nobody is depriving me. I’m choosing to do something good and healthy for my body and brain! It’s a little less exciting when you do it purely for health and brain and not looking for big weight loss but with dementia in my family history I think this is important.

Dear Jennifer, I started intermittent fasting after a diagnosis of pre-diabetes. I fast for 19 hours and have an eating window of 5 hours (12 noon to 5pm). As I am trying to lose weight and combat insulin resistance I am following a very low carb diet. I started on 22 May 2021 eating two meals a day and so far I have lost 52lbs. I still have a lot of weight to lose but intermittent fasting and a low carb diet have proved to be an amazing combination. My blood glucose has returned to normal too. I really enjoy your channel and look forward to every new video. Best wishes, Carole from Swansea in the UK.

Hi Jennifer! I started IF 2 years ago combined with keto. Within the first 6 months I went from size 18 to size 6/8. I initially started this lifestyle of healthy eating when my life was such a mess with many symptoms of dementia. My doctor had me tested and after much research I chose to change my life in as many natural ways that I could as opposed to taking prescribed medications. That was my personal choice and decision and I'm not recommending that anyone not follow their doctor's counsel or that anyone not take or stop taking prescribed medications. Anyway.... in a matter of weeks all dementia symptoms were gone and I gradually was able to stop prescription medications I'd been taking for years. It's amazing what happened when I stopped poisoning my body and my brain with "killer foods 😉" and continue to practice IF. I love your channel Jennifer and the content and wisdom you share is truly inspiring, fun and encouraging. Thank you so much 🥰 At 73, I keep calm and remain classy. Fran 😘

I love these videos and even as a vegan I get great ideas and adapt them. He has a tendency to put on weight [stress eating] when he is at work so we are now making plans for him for when he will get back to the office. Jennifer, I would love to comment on the book again. This book is about initiation after going through the "growing up" phase that every woman goes through. Having children, facing life challenges etc. Dr. Clarissa Pincola Estes is clarifying and helping to go through the phase and get stronger. That is my revelation from the book. I read it two times going for the third one and every time I read it there is something new to discover about myself. This is the book for every woman to read when the page is turned and new stage of life begins. And that happens so many times in our life!I was the one who recommended it and I'm so happy you shared it with our community! I think about food way too much for the past 3 years, hence, I put on a lot of weight. I like your meals they look normal to what I eat. I am doing 16:8 so my fed hours are 12 to 8 pm. I just recently started. I like how you are not skipping actual" breakfast food" I can eat breakfast food any time of the day. thanks for your videos, they are very helpful you are not following a diet just eating your meals in a 8 hour period.

Hello Jennifer, I believe that God lead me to your channel, I asked God to help me with my eating. I was tired of being hungry all the time and making poor choices when it came to food. I lost and gained weight countless times in my lifetime, however this was different and difficult I didn’t know if I had the strength or desire to do another diet ever again. To make a long story short, I was scrolling through u-tube looking for another crafting channel, and there you were Intermittent Fasting what I eat in a day 16:8. I had heard of IF many times in the last few years, however I didn’t think it was for me. This time was different because I could visually see what you were eating every day and the times you had your meal. I am a structured person and I need a plan .
I started on December 23, 2021 and as of today February 14, 2022 I have lost 13lbs and still losing. This has been the easiest lifestyle change that I have embarked upon in my life. I Thank God for you, your channel and you willingness to share a small part of your life with us.

I enjoy your IF videos but each time you say that you have cream in coffee now that you don't want to lose weight I am a little baffled. 1 TB of cream has 51 calories in it and I cant see how just omitted that or adding that is the difference between losing weight or maintaining weight if everything else is the same? Plus the cream is all fat which to me makes it even less likely to make you gain weight vs some sort of carb. I think IF works because it overall reduces the total amount of food you eat...1 TB of cream will not make the difference. If you omitted that cream again you would start losing weight again? Love to see your wholesome meals and lifestyle; you are a breath of fresh air to our often trashy culture.

Yay for more intermittent fasting content! ;) I've been doing it quite faithfully for several months now, and was shocked to realize I've lost twenty-five pounds! While I still have a lot more to lose, I'm so encouraged by that progress. And I've been craving vegetables, too, which is SUCH a good change from my previous cravings. :)

    Good morning Jennifer,
I started the intermittent fasting program over a year ago and it has made a big difference in my life. I used to always want to have naps in the morning or afternoon and now that rarely happens when I have a nap. I’ve noticed that I’m not craving the junk foods any more and I still eat what I’ve always eaten. Thank you so much for posting about your journey on intermittent fasting. It helps me stay the course when life gets busy and hectic. Thank you, have a blessed and Merry Christmas.

I love spinach too. However, I have read that it is rich in oxalates, which can cause kidney stones. So, to mitigate that, it is a good idea to incorporate some fresh lemon juice water with the meal or in the spinach recipe. I absolutely loved your video, Jennifer. Your tablecloth and china are so beautiful. Merry Christmas!!!

Last spring I was inspired by one of your I.F. videos to try it myself. On the same vein, I began making small, healthier changes to what i eat,, like reaching for veggies and hummus for an afternoon snack instead of raiding the cheese drawer. Combined with a renewed commitment to regular, moderate exercise, I've since lost 30 pounds and 3" off my waist. And none of it has been difficult!

May I request a video, please? You have beautiful hair, clothes, makeup, and you always look very put together. I struggle with looking as good as I would like on a daily basis. Somewhere during the pandemic I lost my motivation. Can you make a video about grooming, self care and how to look presentable everyday, how to create a habit of it. I really admire you ❤️

I do wonder how she can eat so many meals in such a short time without a lot of downtime in between meals. Lunch at 12 and then teatime already at 2 and then dinner at 5 again. It's why I stopped doing it because I was just stressing to get my meals done by that time of night and I was eating my dinner even when I wasn't hungry because I was worried I would get hungry later in the evening/night. I also just need more time between meals to get hungry again. Eating at 12 and then again at 2 was just too close together for me. But it clearly worked for Jennifer because she looks gorgeous and healthy and happy.

I actually had a similar issue. It felt like I never had time to get hungry, but I still liked the idea of having structure in my day and set times to eat. Thankfully, the time between dinner and bed time gave me enough time to digest completely and I’d actually feel a bit hungry by the end of the day. I guess it’s wise to do whatever works best for your own body!

Great video please continue these about your 16:8 journey.
For awesome creamed spinach without béchamel, you can also try lightly frying diced garlic in olive oil, salt and pepper, adding the spinach until wilted down, then dropping on top of the spinach 1 or more big spoonfuls of crème fraîche, remove from heat, cover and set aside. Then eat it all up 💜 Kids will luv this too 🙂

Hi Jennifer. I was wondering how much time you have between meals, especially between lunch and teatime and tea time and supper. Are the times based on hunger or your families set meal times? I am finding that my meal times can get out of sink with my families preferred meal times simply because I’m not hungry.

Hello Jennifer: I just discovered your channel today and I can’t wait to start IF “again”! I did this a while back with Keto and I believe that Keto made my energy tank so I stopped after a few months. I’m excited to see if IF will help me shed these last 10 pounds. I just turned 60 and it gets harder to keep the weight off, I’m hoping this will work for me long term!
