Given the rust, I wouldn't put too much dedication to a restoration , remember the principle of the car. Maybe cut up the fenders and do a widebody. Throw a chop cam in it and just beat it up

Them 3.8s are dead reliable and will run forever……. And with basic performance upgrades they can be slow car fast as long as you get a 5speed……used to always have a v6 daily…one was my sisters 98 auto that she put thru the ringer and I bought it off her when she decided to get a new car…then bought my stepdads 99 convertible……that was the one I modded,then I moved up to a 04 base GT now I daily my raptor build and sometimes my Foxbody until I get that painted then that’ll be a weekend car too. until I get my dads old first gen CtSV …..that car is a hella nice daily
@@OverDriveMed everyone’s been telling me the 4.6 is more reliable than the 3.8. I want a 5th gen next I just don’t know which ones better between the V8 and V6 engines for 4th and 5th gens.
@@xkcash_238 5th Gen (2014). Why later model years for a generation? Because most problems are worked out. The OEM water pumps are a common failure point, but $100 and a driveway, and you can replace it at home with a Gates brand.
