If you are a HAM, FPP is mandatory i think. Since you cant add zones and channels on the fly I have a bunch of spare ones on reserve which I can edit in the field. If you set your radio up right it can survive without CPS for a long time.
So you say in the video that you can change from analog to digital but it doesn’t show you to be able to edit that while you were scrolling did you mean you need to do it on a computer?
FPP on the XTS is easier to program than literally any ham radio I’ve ever owned. I wish I had it on my XPRs, but not going to pay $150 or whatever for it.
Hey adventure cruiser, My name is Landen I am 14 years old and located in south central Kentucky, I am an amateur radio operator A GMRS operator, and I am also a huge Motorola fan one of my favorite radios is the APX8000 and I've had a hard time finding one for a reasonable price that I can afford. So, If you would be interested in selling one of your APX radios Please let me know I would love to have one. Thank you -Landen KQ4LNZ
Hey Landon, thanks for watching and for being a radio aficionado like me. I totally get your excitement about radios, when I was your age my fascination was the Motorola Saber. I couldn’t afford it, but I dreamt about it, and could picture the day when I would finally own one. I eventually did, and it wasn’t as amazing as I’d pictured in my mind, but it was still an achievement. I think I paid $45 for it on eBay and then another $50 to my local Motorola shop to have it programmed. I want to encourage you to pursue the hobby, but don’t be dismayed by what you can’t afford. I’ve wanted the type of radios I now have for decades before I could afford them. There is a time and place for everything in life, and rather than possibly being dismayed that you can’t afford one now, be challenged to set a path in your life to earn the things you want. It’s not an easy path, it takes dedication, discipline, and sacrifice. My friends were all out surfing or partying while I was building a career. Now many of them have bleak outlooks while I’m enjoying the fruits of my labors. What do you want to do with your life? How can I encourage you to pursue greatness?
The fact that this is even advertised as a "feature" shows you how much the big manfuacturers want to rip you off. I have FPP on my $15 baofeng and quansheng. It's not even a question. Absolutely ridiclous that you pay more for this "feature" on higher end radios. What a rip off
I see your point, but if all radios had all features, they could be way too expensive for small departments. This is a way of offering less expensive radios. Also, it’s not free for a company to create Bluetooth features, or FPP, or any of the others. It takes engineering time which costs the manufacturer money. I’m not saying it’s a perfect situation, but I can see their side too

I’d love to hear your commentary for your church security set up
I'm sorry, but your video just made me want to buy more radios. I guess that's a good thing lol.

Did you download the new NEXT firmware update ? It added FPP as long as you have FPP in the flash code .
I miss my JT1000 with FPP key on the side.
