    It is amazing to see the evolution of your set up from the blinks lights on the 3 manual keyboard set up on the Paul Manz piece to this set up compete with wooden keys numbered presets and toe studs. Wow and your playing is incredible. Thanks for posting this.

    Thanks for such a great piece of music. I enjoy all of your downloads and look forward to your next one. This recording is great, the transition at 56 seconds is a wonderful surprise! I hope that you continue with your amazing playing. I attend mass at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Boston Ma with Leo Abbot, Cathedral Organist.

    And congrats on joining the Milan team. That's excellent. I see you got the new console desk. The toe studs will be a nice addition.
    Did you catch Richard's performance this past Sunday with the Bach Sinfonia? It was total Richard Elliott virtuosity and amazing to watch.
    Best wishes -

    Rob, I absolutely love listening to you play! I want to build a Hauptwerk with pipe samples from the Tabernacle and Conference Center in Salt Lake City. Both of those organs are my absolute favorite organs of all time.
    Where can I get a Hauptwerk Console?

  • @johnnyjames7139
    @johnnyjames7139 7 лет назад

    One of the major problems with sampled organs is the intermodulation produced by loud speakers which causes unnatural beats. It drives me crazy in my home hybird theatre organ, so much so that if I could I would dump all of the electronics and just have real pipes. And yes, I know that the high end commerical instruments have ways around the problem but it requires many amplifier/speaker channels.

    Rob, I love all of your recordings! PLEASE tell me how I would go about purchasing an organ just like this one in this video. I love the Hauptwerk "real" sound and the wooden keyboard.

    • @matts.3761
      @matts.3761 6 лет назад

      The hardware is at midiworks.ca. Getting a console like this would be well over 10,000 USD plus all of the software. One wood-core keyboard like the one in the video costs 1,200 on it's own. The full Salisbury Cathedral organ costs 1,200 on hauptwerk.com and the Advanced software costs 500 some dollars, which is required for running larger organs. Overall, this would cost over 20,000 USD. I would put in the extra work to create one yourself like the one on www.fagerjord.org/. He took three M-audio midi keyboards and mounted them in homemade keycheeks as well as his own pedalbaord.

    Hello, can you give a cost estimate on duplicating your setup? Software, monitors, computer, keyboards, pedalboard, etc. I love classical organ and am mostly self-taught. I'm interested in pursuing my interest further and recently discovered Hauptwerk. A nice practice organ from Rodgers is out of my budget for sure. Any resources you could direct me to would be appreciated. Obviously you're advanced in your studies. Watching your videos gives me something to aspire to. Thank you!

    Like.....pump up the audio sir!!!! I don't have hearing aids that can make up the lack!! Geese!! Don't u performers LISTEN to the results??? What a waste of well-skilled effort.

    • @stefanussen
      @stefanussen  3 года назад +1

      We performers do actually listen to the results. The "problem" is that this is classical organ music, not pop music on the radio. There's a huge dynamic range ranging from whisper quiet to blastissimo. Organ music sounds pretty bad once you apply the kind of radio-style dynamic range compression you seem to be looking for. You need a better sound system or headphones to hear the recording correctly.
