Mine’s a CU and common cause of rough running and misfire & stalling is a split vacuum elbow rubber pipe that’s hidden away in front of the right carburettor. Also it should have a mechanical fuel pump which I’ve never had any issue with.
@@savingsusanna There's another on the go getting a 1Y conversion and changing to high roof and other various work on that one, this one and the AAZ van, also some changes coming to the OG van 😁
Yea will look at that when I get to it. It was a 1.6td originally in that van, that one will get everything it wants and will be cream of the crop when done. Still painted white underneath, never been undersealed 😁
Ah fantastic you've gone and got another one!! :)) Brilliant! - It's great to see it from the sad & neglected start. That wash was bloody miraculous lol! I must say though that i was quite disappointed to hear you say that it will be awhile before you start working on her.... i'm keen to watch the project! - I've mentioned to you before that because of your last T25 restoration videos i ended up getting one myself, that had sat for 4 years outside without moving. You said i'd love it more than expected once it's on the road, and you were right! I got it running and safe, roughly 'tidied' up and thought, like most things, the reality won't be quite as good as i'd been dreaming. But i was wrong - it's great! It's so easy, comfortable and well set out, it's brilliant! - Anyway, mine will be in my workshop for a proper strip down restoration in the new year with luck, and i'll be trying to video the project myself too for youtube - so hopefully you'll start your new one a bit before mine so that i can 'follow along' with what you do haha! - Oh, and i must lastly say i'm a bit envious of your 2lt engine. Mine's 1.6 and although pulls along remarkably well considering my expectations i would have loved it being 2lt. Ce la vie. All the best. Cheers!
That's great, glad your enjoying yours. The key element here is none of these are as rotten as mine was. There is another in the queue ahead of that one that will be interesting, doing a 1Y conversion, hightop conversion and all the usual body work. Videos to come
@@TheTinski07 I spotted the lake last time on your last spin. my in laws live on the lane up the lake. May nip over in October, id love to visit. Have y0u a way of sending a message I wanted to pick ur brains about something. Greetings from Wales
Yes!!!!!! This is like my van so I’m really happy you’ll be taking on the air cooled version.
Another great journey begins 👍

Just made my day! Really enjoyed following the last one, looking forward to seeing these progress when you get to it.
Cheers, no shortage of things to do now anyway.
Nice 😁 check the gearbox code on that aaz. Those engines don't like to "overrevv" in the hot rear of a van 🙊

Looking forward to this. That van looks a lot cleaner than your original one your original van was really bad. Rotten as hell.
Yea if our was still lying around I would have used it as a parts van at this stage, anyway its done now 😁
Such a cool high top!

You didn't do it any favours in that lane!
