  • This is a critical stage that should not be overlooked during pouring. You need to mix a small amount of resin with a hardener, wait until it starts to warm up inside the cup, and then apply it with a brush, stick, or by pouring, whichever is more convenient.
Make sure to apply the resin to all areas where it will be poured and to any contact points with the formwork - such as holes and gaps. Leave it for 5-6 hours.
If, after 5-6 hours, you notice any dry spots on the surface or areas where the resin hasn't been covered properly, repeat the priming stage. This is crucial.
During this stage, we are sealing the formwork to prevent leaks, stabilizing the surfaces with wood, and filling in the wood pores. The more resin we can penetrate at this stage, the greater the surface coverage will be. This, in turn, will enhance the surface hardness and increase the load-bearing capacity of the pour. To enhance penetration, you can use a heatgun to warm up the primed layer from the top. By heating it, we increase the resin's ability to penetrate and open up the wood pores.
Throughout the process, bubbles will continuously form on the surface, but there is no need to worry about them.
The stabilization process may take over an hour. During this time, the resin can penetrate the wood by 2-5 mm, depending on its density and your involvement.
I would like to emphasize a particular issue regarding the end cuts. If you don't prime the end cuts immediately after processing and grinding on the same day, various consequences may occur during pouring.
The end cuts may crack, and the resin may either extrude or retract. It is recommended to prime the end cuts at least twice from all sides.
    Priming:
    Important!
    Mix Resin with Hardener
Apply with a brush/stick or by pouring
Thoroughly coat all areas where the resin will be poured
    Leave it for 5-6 hours
Repeat the procedure if there are any uncovered areas
Why the priming stage is so important?
    We seal the formwork
    We stabilize the wood
We increase the hardness and load-bearing capacity of the pour
    Life hack:
Use a heatgun: it increases the resin's penetrating power and opens up the wood pores
(!) Air bubble formation is a normal part of epoxy pouring process, they will disappear on their own.
(!) End cuts should be primed immediately after processing/grinding, at least twice on all sides!
