We stayed at the Cullin Hills Hotel for a couple of nights some years ago and really enjoyed the property, the view and the food. We're from Maryland and met another couple from home as well. We have dinner reservations there again in August during our last visit to Scotland.
Me & my husband are going to scotland for two weeks at the end of November to early December and ive been looking up hours everywhere because im nervous about everything being closed. We can handle bad weather, especially since this is the only time of year we can travel
I was in Skye about 3 weeks ago and it was great (albeit abit rainy and very windy). Second time with my family there.... it was great. Purposely stayed at Plockton this time as it was near Skye bridge.
We live on Skye and everything closes in the winter , all these establishments rip off the tourists during the season and then sit counting their money in the winter , we have no normal pubs to go to , every thing is so expensive, not a nice place to live at all .
I also live on Skye and couldn't disagree more. You make some very disingenuous claims and should be ashamed of yourself. Yes it is expensive here but local businesses need to make a living. No pubs?....go to the Portree Hotel. Brilliant staff, awesome food and the beer is also superb. It sounds to me like you need to move off the island and I, for one, won't miss people like you.

It’s a great spot even with the weather. We’ll have to try out Plockton.
We loved this place. Scotland is soo beautiful. Hope you enjoyed!!
All my friends who live on Skye hate it now -- too crowded. Too many tourists. Too expensive.
Call that bad weather, I've had snow in June. And no midges so, swings and roundabouts.
Yikes! Snow in June? Wow.
