Melbourne Airport is Australia's second busiest airport, attracting almost 30 million passengers annually. The airport is celebrating a very important milestone this year, amid one of its worst performing years due to the on-going pandemic, the airport celebrates its 50th birthday. Opening in 1970 to replace the current airport at the time, Essendon Fields.
Featured in this incredibly lengthy video is 3 hours straight, uninterrupted of some wonderful plane spotting at Melbourne Airport to showcase what an incredible airport it has been built up to be!
I filmed this over the course of 2020 and I hope you enjoy the compilation of the very best clips of the year.
Without further ado, I hope you enjoy!

I've watch quite a few Aviation videos, but so far HD Melbourne Aviation, has to be the best. Few, if any other videos put the information that this channel does. Well Done.

i have been following and enjoying your content for years. i have to say i think you are one of the best plane spotting videographers out there, so compliments to your images. i will of course continue to watch, obsessively, in lieu of my ability to be at a major airport to watch in person. i have one question, not really a criticism, but...your audio? i leave it on because i love the spooling up sounds, but the wind and other plane spotter noise is a bit much at times. is there microphone tech that can capture the audio that we want and leave out all the ambient noise? your loyal fan!
_3 hours!!! This Is Massive_

Hello, I hope to reprint your video in Tik Tok in China. Because I attach great importance to copyright, I hope to get your authorization. Of course, if not, it is ok

Same lol
Excellent video, nice angles.
The DC-3's have to be nearly 80 years old. I can't imagine it being in service unless every nut and bolt as well as every moving part having been replaced. Even the wings and tail-plane had to have been refurbished. If this wasn't the case, would be a cold day in hell before I climbed on one.
I worked in Iran for an offshore drilling company back in the early 70's. We crew changed for several months on a DC-3 before being replaced by an F-27. It was so hot on board they cracked open the passenger door halfway. The flight was brutal. The plane shook and sounded horrible. I swore I'd never board another one as long as I lived, once we got a replacement. We were able to fly the Iranian nationals with us that worked on the rig using the F-27. A couple years later we graduated to a 737-200 leased from Iran Air, using a 5000 ft. runway on Lavan Island... Persian Gulf. There wasn't much else on the island other than the landing strip and a metal shack alongside it.

This has got to be one of the greatest plane spotting locations in the world. Great job!

This was filmed before the pandemic as Tigerair ceased operations in March 2020, three months before this video was posted. Also all international travel to and from Australia was suspended around the same date. Some disclosure would have been welcome.
