  • Next into The Den is Jacqueline Sava, an entrepreneur who is pitching her line of liquid soaps for fine fabrics. She is seeking 300K for a 25% equity share and needs the cash to build a salesforce that will kick her competitors off the shelves. However, if there's one thing The Dragons are afraid of, it's debt.

If she did $400,000 of sales each year, investing in staff and offices WILL NOT affect that revenue, that’ll effect your net profit. So many “business” people don’t understand the difference between revenue, gross and net profit it’s scary.

yep. Seems like a common mistake (if not intentional) business ppl in the den do is measure their company profitability by revenue and not net profit margin. It's baffling and obnoxious.

The United States is known as a poor nation if you get sick and unemployed! It is not like that in the countries that pay a higher tax, which I do with pleasure. I own 2 large houses, one with a view of the sea, so I gladly help others! There is no poverty in Denmark. In the United States, people are suffering! You and others in the USA call yourselves Christians, but do NOTHING to help those who are having a hard time, I hate people like you 😢

These are the type of people who wouldn't hesitate for a second to seize the opportunity to take everything you have, and leave you out on the street! They didn't get to where they are by having a conscience, even though, sometimes they pretend to have one!

If she can get out of debt, her company's will have a chance to survive.
Maybe downsize and cut back on some overhead fees (eliminate some employees, rent a smaller building size,?)
Pay off the bank a certain amount each year.
The faster she can pay it off, the sooner she can put more money in her pocket.
They have sold a million dollars in products, they can pull themself out of this debt.
It's not over yet and not too late.
She has to re-strategize and find another solution to help her out of her temporary problem.
