Excellent review of this budget circular saw. My first cordless circular saw was a really terrible, underpowered Erbauer affair. Honestly, even though the tool weighed a tonne, it didn't have enough grunt to make one cut in a sheet of 18mm ply. That was 20 years ago. So, it really is amazing how far we've come in battery technology. I've never used any tools from this brand, but I have seen them on sale at fair prices. Judging by your demonstration, the performance seems absolutely solid. Certainly, more than adequate for the occasional woodworker. Regarding the blade. Well, a quick look at the usual suspects - Toolstation, Screwfix etc. - will show you how reasonably priced these small blades are. If you are working with pallets and old timber, the stock blade will be fine, but anything else, and you might want to invest in something with more teeth for a finer cut. Enjoy your new toy!
Yes my thoughts exactly. I had a corded heavy circular saw but it wasn't very good. This one seems to get the job done. I'll use the stock blade for now although I have already bought a Replacement blade with a thinner kerf for when I need to replace it.
Hi Phill, Good honest review on the Excel cordless saw , a quiet running saw must have a brushless motor and with a motor brake. As always a good demonstration and great video Take care
Hi Shaun thanks 👍🏻 yes I was thinking it must have a Brushless motor although I couldn't find any information to confirm that when looking at the product specs so decided not to mention it. A pretty good value tool in my opinion.
Hi Phil. I’m looking to get my first few cordless tools and don’t really want to drop a load of cash on a big brand cordless kit. These seem way more budget friendly. Would you say these are worth it as a home DIYer ? Great channel and your videos are so informative 👍 good work
Phil to be honest that is not a bad price but iam right handed and I wonder phil if there do them in a 190 mm is there a led light fitted I have seen some off there stuff its a bit disappointing that you carnt get a kit box for there stuff I have milwaukee impact wrenchs best stuff going you only pay for what you get 😅
