I have a different interpretation than some of you guys here about this song. This song wasn’t towards a “certain American” as some of you are saying. There was a time in a broadcast on a reality show or something I can’t remember where he said that Solar hasn’t been contacting him lately and Moonbyul said it was because she has changed her number. In my honest opinion, if Solar wrote this song for him, she should have at least let him know that she changed her number so that they can rekindle their relationship right? That reality show they did together was all for the show, they both kept it professional, someone might have developed some feelings for the other but the other did not reciprocate that and it ended just after the show did for them. As for this song’s underlying meaning, to me, it sounded very personal, very close to her feelings and I am 100% sure she’s talking about a relationship that went bad because of the things she has said or done towards the other and she wants to make up for that mistake through this song by hoping that that person could hear this song and get that message across to that person. She sounds like the kind of person who is willing to do anything she can to get her lover back and I admire that in a woman a lot. She doesn’t sound like she’s egotistical at all. She’s willing to admit her mistakes and wants to start over, because she cherish the relationship, and she cherishes the person she was with and she doesn’t want to lose that. Whoever that person may be, even if it is who some of the shippers are thinking, that person should consider taking her back into their life because Kim Yongsun, not Solar, the persona we see on stage and in reality shows, the real Kim Yongsun, the homebody, sounds like one hell of a sweet lady to have.
Agreed! But after both Moonbyul and him appeared on the same show which recorded on early March. After a month, which is in April, I don't know if you saw the vid that Yongsun gave him a support by reacting and sang along to his comeback song: Honestly. And this certain american even commented to thanked her. I actually think the reason Yongsun didn't updated her changed number to him was because it might happened that her mobile spoilt or something that she can't retrieve his number. Also she must be aware that he was too busy with promotions and went abroad for tour concerts and it was difficult to meet him and she was also busy with MAMAMOO activities during that time and eventually she forgets about that. It wasn't intentional like some people said Yongsun "ghosted" him. Anyway, yes... the lyrics she wrote and composed 2 yrs ago seem meaningful and she cherished the person that she loves.

But yes, when they were together in the waiting room, i sense a cute+shy+awkward/tense moment between the two. To me, it's not because of her being pressured by the shippers, but it's more likely that she didn't expected to stumble upon him after 2 years all of a sudden and she just don't know what to do but still remaining calm. The response as of the moment of her thing with Eric Nam isnt really helping them as a group, judging from what I've seen so far. They're still fresh off their careers. I'm sure they both still want to do alot of things. A relationship, if one thinks of the situation maturely (esp with her position as a leader), isnt a good thing at the time yet. HOWEVER, you can have each other in each other's minds and use each other as inspiration for the art that you create (i.e. their music). And if you're smart enough, you can always deny it was made for a reason you dont want to reveal due to unfavorable consequence, but, the people you want them to hear can immediately know it is for them once they hear it (similar to how when someone subtly sends hidden mean messages to you, they may not address you directly, but you cant help but have a hunch about it). I think its enough inspiration to write knowing that it sends messages to a certain person that you know is gonna make that person feel good hearing it (whether you tell them it was meant for them or not :))

I have a different interpretation than some of you guys here about this song. This song wasn’t towards a “certain American” as some of you are saying. There was a time in a broadcast on a reality show or something I can’t remember where he said that Solar hasn’t been contacting him lately and Moonbyul said it was because she has changed her number. In my honest opinion, if Solar wrote this song for him, she should have at least let him know that she changed her number so that they can rekindle their relationship right? That reality show they did together was all for the show, they both kept it professional, someone might have developed some feelings for the other but the other did not reciprocate that and it ended just after the show did for them.
As for this song’s underlying meaning, to me, it sounded very personal, very close to her feelings and I am 100% sure she’s talking about a relationship that went bad because of the things she has said or done towards the other and she wants to make up for that mistake through this song by hoping that that person could hear this song and get that message across to that person. She sounds like the kind of person who is willing to do anything she can to get her lover back and I admire that in a woman a lot. She doesn’t sound like she’s egotistical at all. She’s willing to admit her mistakes and wants to start over, because she cherish the relationship, and she cherishes the person she was with and she doesn’t want to lose that. Whoever that person may be, even if it is who some of the shippers are thinking, that person should consider taking her back into their life because Kim Yongsun, not Solar, the persona we see on stage and in reality shows, the real Kim Yongsun, the homebody, sounds like one hell of a sweet lady to have.
Agreed! But after both Moonbyul and him appeared on the same show which recorded on early March. After a month, which is in April, I don't know if you saw the vid that Yongsun gave him a support by reacting and sang along to his comeback song: Honestly. And this certain american even commented to thanked her. I actually think the reason Yongsun didn't updated her changed number to him was because it might happened that her mobile spoilt or something that she can't retrieve his number. Also she must be aware that he was too busy with promotions and went abroad for tour concerts and it was difficult to meet him and she was also busy with MAMAMOO activities during that time and eventually she forgets about that. It wasn't intentional like some people said Yongsun "ghosted" him. Anyway, yes... the lyrics she wrote and composed 2 yrs ago seem meaningful and she cherished the person that she loves.

I think I saw that video in my timeline somewhere but didn’t think too much about it considering I know she’s doing it because they already know each other and it’s just a polite gesture to support him during his comeback. But yes, when they were together in the waiting room, i sense a cute+shy+awkward/tense moment between the two. To me, it's not because of her being pressured by the shippers, but it's more likely that she didn't expected to stumble upon him after 2 years all of a sudden and she just don't know what to do but still remaining calm. I knew Solar being shy and quiet when she's all alone but on that day, i can see that she felt out of place- but i don't mean in a bad way tho. She still the "Solar" that gets fascinated by hearing his english and his usual big laugh reacting to Solar's wit really made her face red- i just can't with these two. Hahahaha. Jung Chi & Jung In are the only married couple from that show but before they were invited, they already dated about a year. That's all i knew. But honestly, i do think Eric does have real feelings toward Solar. The current status that i know of: Both of them still don't wish to be in relationship first so as to focus on their career.

Usually if I express my opinion on here, some delusional shippers quickly try to shut me down and it’s quite irritating when you’re being as rational and logical as possible. We don’t know these idols’ life personally so who are we to judge who they are with just by mere interactions we see on the screen? What I do know is that there are some hardcore fans of that Married show and those people are the ones who ship these two really hard. I know that this American is a genuinely nice guy, I even checked out his LinkedIn profile and his portfolio is amazing. Definitely a good man to have as a husband. But yes, these fans are the ones ruining the good mood of enjoying the show as it is. It’s fine to have a different opinion than others, they don’t have to shove it down to others. I left a comment on a Moonbyul Solar bracelet video on this site and I said that their bracelet is more likely a friendship bracelet than anything else and that one time Solar tried to take it off was most probably because it looked unprofessional or too casual on stage because it’s just a rubber hair tie than say a white gold bracelet that what Moonbyul has, and not because she didn’t want people to see her “couple” bracelet with Moonbyul. Like, it’s fine to assume, but let’s just keep that to a minimum right? Some shippers need to see the border between enjoying some skinship and just downright creepily expecting they are dating secretly. Even if these two were a couple at some point in their lives, I doubt we will ever hear that confession considering how reserved the Korean society is so it’s better to assume that they are more like best friends that enjoy some occasional teasings and flirt.
And yes I do agree with you on that final part. Solar’s career as a Mamamoo member is still peaking and she would never have the time to date anyone much less someone from the same company. I don’t know about his life and his career so I refrain from making any comments about him, but as for Solar, I’m sure the last thing she wants right now is a dating scandal as I’m sure what the other members are thinking about that’s why you don’t ever hear any dating scandals about Mamamoo yet.
But at the end of the day, when these girls decide to settle down, whomever they choose to date and get married to, we as their fans should respect their decisions and support their journey in life because we don’t have any rights to dictate what they can and cannot do just because we bought a few albums and went to a few concerts. We are not buying them, we are buying their products. Learn to understand and respect that and let them be happy with whoever they want to be with for the rest of their lives.

Knowing Solar being a literal ,straight forward person, this song is for MOONBYUL. As the song says, GUESS WHAT, there was indeed a relationship between them. BUT BUT You know the feeling that, you are loving the person close( similar situation ) to you but what's difficult is you are in a state(situation) where it's impossible to STAY committed to her/him and you just wish he/she is a stranger, a stranger whom you can love freely. The response as of the moment of her thing with Eric Nam isnt really helping them as a group, judging from what I've seen so far. They're still fresh off their careers. I'm sure they both still want to do alot of things. A relationship, if one thinks of the situation maturely (esp with her position as a leader), isnt a good thing at the time yet. HOWEVER, you can have each other in each other's minds and use each other as inspiration for the art that you create (i.e. their music). And if you're smart enough, you can always deny it was made for a reason you dont want to reveal due to unfavorable consequence, but, the people you want them to hear can immediately know it is for them once they hear it (similar to how when someone subtly sends hidden mean messages to you, they may not address you directly, but you cant help but have a hunch about it).
I think its enough inspiration to write knowing that it sends messages to a certain person that you know is gonna make that person feel good hearing it (whether you tell them it was meant for them or not :))
