@@AutoAuctionRebuilds hey randy clean up and send it to maaco give it to your son nick a panther platform is a great car for your 1st car I had a lincoln town car on my high-school days they are great cars randy 👍
That's what am saying the pa ther platform is a great 1st car I had a 96 lincoln town car signature it was a great 1st car for me I still have it til this date it has over 280 miles on the odometer and im still the 2nd owner.
i agree.. but thats like the fifth one hes had since knowing Nick and Jess.. Nick didn't want one then he won't want one now.. nick loves fox bodies.. but didn't want the ones Randy had.. my guess Nick doesn't know what the hell he wants in a car...
I usually don’t comment, but in that previous video, I had a feeling you were gonna take the gamble on the Crown Vic, so I was pretty delighted to see this video and see her get back to life! This and the previous video has reignited my love for these tanks of a car. I would take one of these 90s-2000s panthers over these modern technology filled excuses of cars, Ford had a winner of a car with the Crown Victoria.
Congrats Randy, on your persistence in not giving up on the Crown Vic. This kind of content is what makes these videos soo enjoyable! Bringing site unseen 80's & 90's vehicles is an absolute must do.
That hole above the glove compartment is the passenger airbag light that most people push on and break, if you pull the trim that's held on with clips you will find the light sitting behind it, most just glue it back in place. If the airbag light on the gauge cluster is lit then that passenger airbag light could be disconnected or burnt out. I bet with some new coils and a good MAF cleaning she will run perfect. Great buy Randy.
Me to I currently drive a 03 F150 Supercrew 4.6 2wd has little over 321k miles my friend bought it new I got from him 7 years ago no issues at all and when it dies ill fix it
Hey Randy these are the kind of videos I personally appreciate. I honestly didn’t think you’d get this car running but you proved me wrong. It’s so cool to watch you bring cars that have been given up on back to life. Keep up the good work sir 👍🏾😊.
This is why a panther has been my daily driver for the past 11 years. I dread the day they get so old you'll have to give them up because parts will be hard to find.
@@infinity3jif It’s never going to happen. They made an absolute bajillion of these things. And they share drivetrains with the Mustang so there will be aftermarket stuff forever.
This is my new favorite channel to watch. Love seeing and learning about how to and what to look at with a used vehicle. Keep the entertaining videos coming! Also thanks for sharing your knowledge and information about what you do.
Love those panthers. Have a 2008 . I drive it once a week the rest of time sets in my driveway. Have people coming by all the time knocking on my door asking if it’s for sale lol. Please don’t sell that to Cletus lol
Good find! That car isn’t beat-up enough to have been abused too much. After Ford resolved the cam phaser problems in those motors they have proved to be fairly long life motors. I have a 4.6 in my 14 E250. Beautiful running motor.
Love the idea of the 80's and 90's classic cars. Really reminds me of my ramcharger, daytona, and many other cars I grew up with getting my license in 1995.
Randy let me tell you something. You are a beast! You were able to figure out the issue with this flood car and made it turn over. That's crazy. I don't know how you knew this but you know your shit Randy. Only real mechanics know this . Keep it up Randy. AAR4life.
Excellent deal for 200. I have a 05 p71 and I love it. Except I'm getting ready to put a new rear end in it . But that's the only thing I've had to do to it since I bought it.
12:30 My Dad's 6.8 V10 did this. She'd need starter fluid every morning but would run fine through the day and would stop and start just fine without the starter fluid.
The little baby you found is from a King Cake. Its a tradition in New Orleans during Mardi gras they put the baby somewhere in the cake. If you get the baby you have to buy the next King cake.
The trunk pack is a nice find as well. Most didn’t have them or have them by the time they got to the public. I’ve seen a few on Facebook marketplace that brought $100-200.
Button on the end of the shifter is the switch overdrive on and off, button in the bottom of the driver's side door and the button that's out of place underneath the radio are both to pop the trunk, switch in the door use the ignition key to lock it so it doesn't work, either way both of those trunk releases will not work if the car is in gear. Also where you think a button would be above the glove box it's actually the indicator for the passenger side airbag when it's activated by somebody sitting in the seat
You can add cruise by swapping the steering wheel for one with the cruise buttons and then getting Ford to unlock the feature. Also the odometer has a known issue with a contact in the cluster cracking. The contact can be re-soludered.
Fantastic work draining out the water out of the 4.6 liter engine!! I strongly suggest you drain that oil as soon as possible as it's water diluted/contaminated. Castrol has a really good high mileage engine oil that's perfect for the Interceptor. The serpentine idler pulley bearings might be causing that underhood noise. The control boxes for the cruise control and the ABS are probably waterlogged? Maybe that's why they're not working? Or maybe just the fuses, that would be convenient. Good job!
@@73amx63 I agree. The coolant especially, it will degrade and actually start corroding the aluminum in the radiator as well as the water pump housing.
Nice to see the Crown Victoria running and driving. Such solid cars that can last a long time with only regular maintenance! Loving the videos Randy and this Crown Victoria was definitely a great deal. Not a bad car with a clean interior. Also yes love the idea of 10 cars from the 80's and 90's! As always Randy great video and can't wait for more! 👍
Those cars are tough, I drive a 98 Mercury Marquis with the 4.7 and I love it. I'm glad you got a diamond in the rough, and yes I would love to have it
Those old 4.6 engines never die. Next time you run across something like that remember to cycle the key on and off a dozen or so times to get the fuel from the tank up to the engine and you may not need to crack it so much. The fuel pump only runs a few seconds each time then shuts off each time you cycle the key so it takes a while to get the fuel up to the injectors. I had a Lincoln Towncar with the same chassis and engine etc.! Very reliable cars. They run forever! I liked my Cadillac Deville better, it was smoother riding and faster with much more power.
Once the sparkplugs are removed, you may want to use a suction pump with a small tubing to manually remove as much water as possible from the piston chamber.
Let the haters hate Randy they ain’t got nothing better to do, but i love that idea love that idea with the older cars will def be here to watch it , you should fix up one of those 12 cars & do a giveaway to someone in need
my dream car here in Germany, the problem in Germany is that there are some that come to Germany from the USA for $1000-1800 and our dealers are crazy and want €10,000-15,000 for the vehicles, so it remains a dream for me! But nice video and another Ctown Vic saved 👍🏻
