That 220 ohms 20 watt is very handy, commonly use for discharging a fully charged main filter capacitor, it also serves as a fuse protection. Amazing! That pulse driver i.c activates the mosfet input gate terminal, without that pulse, it will not switch the mosfet... Good video presentation, and thank you for sharing your credible knowledge...
