IF ohio state runs the table in the playoffs, it will have done so vs #7, #1, #3 and then #4 or #5. that would be epic.

We do great in the first half but for some reason lose momentum in the 3rd quarter to the point we always have to rely on our defense to make big stops in the 4th. We've seen Texas against Georgia twice this season and it was bad the first time, then inexcusable the second. We saw them let Clemson back into the game, and we saw them give up the whole lead against ASU before rallying on a 4th and 13 pass to avoid losing entirely. OSU when locked in will not give those opportunities.

@@JC-jo9bfNo. it’s been statistically studied and proven that tackling skill falls off dramatically with byes and over time. tackling has to be constantly practiced. coaches usually don’t do it during those bye week practices to avoid injury. but “thudding” as the practice technique is called, doesn’t accurately duplicate all the tackling skill. Saban was just talking about it at length on CFB GAMEDAY last week.
Last I checked Ohio State came off of a loss to Michigan on November 30th and didn't play again until December 21st and still dominated Tennessee, it just depends on if the coach knows how to use the bye right.
