Was super glad to catch this live. This was one of the best casual game experiences I've had and as was said in the intro, it's the closest we'll likely get to a AAA SCP game, at least for a while. But wow, having just played this casually, seeing the movement and out-of-bounds being used makes me regret not skipping some of those sections in my casual runs. I love when runners explain the story as they play. I loved this game but haven't played it in forever. It's great to get a recap of the lore while seeing him break the game in half. :)
I finished Control & its DLCs litteraly a month ago so that was such a pleasant surprise. Thank you so much for the amazing run, this game is absolutely breathtaking and so was this run!
Watching that second Tomasi fight failure made me truly appreciate the devs putting in a god mode option. No shame, no restrictions. You can just have fun shooting and throwing stuff without trying to manage a health system where you can be two shot but have no control of when you heal. Like, I beat that fight by hiding in a corner and exploiting the AI. Not exactly high-octane action there.
This was such a great run. For some reason I bounced off Control the two times I tried to play it, but this has inspired me to go back and try again. Looks like an absolute blast.
I've finished Control with literally dying controller, both sticks had no dead zone, fighting was frustrating and hard as hell. And it did not mater! Best game!
I remembered Control and I thought "Huh, why aren't there 100 speedrun video recommendations popping up?" because the game design just looked rife with exploits.
