Hey Anton, I really like the introduction of the new Gordie Howe International Bridge, linking Windsor and Detroit City. I am a Toronto native, currently working in London. I have spent numerous summers down in Windsor and Detroit is my adopted US city. Loving the investment, which is happening there and love the fact that you are real proud of your city. Keep climbing and be blessed. Billy.

This ain't some regular apartment. This is a penthouse in prime location that has far more luxury, amenities, modern, and better location then 95% of any Detroit house or apartment. And buying a home ain't for everybody. There's alot of multi millionaires that still rent. That's why every major city offers luxury apartments and luxury homes. 2 different preferences.

Honestly, you have to look at location. Granted, the city has been gaining momentum in infrastructure these past several years. However, $10k for the location is pretty steep because Detroit has not been a skyscraper city, like Chicago or NY. It's prided on being a neighborhood city. You have to price accordingly! Nevertheless, to each their own and their pockets.

It was really vibrant and I could see why someone would live there. I was even in the hood on Tracey & 6 mile and people were chill for reals (maybe due to the people I was with lol). I think if you mind your own business you will be fine. The only major downside are the winters.

It depends on where you live… downtown is actually great 👍🏾… some areas in the city area nice and some areas are slowly developing… there are also areas that are struggling heavy…but there is a lot of progress.. most of Detroit’s reputation is from decades ago… violent crime is still something you have to deal with in any major city. The downtown looks better than most major cities I’ve traveled to… it’s a spacious city with plenty of room if you’re into real estate. It’s a sports city too even when the teams suck they can draw decent crowds. Most of the tourists here are Canadians and they come party here often.

    Rent or Buy?

God provides us resources. These are blessings of provision. Any excess after saving investing for future family legacy, should be used for generosity to our church to those who are doing the Lord's work. In my opinion, this is showing off. I would invest that into new business ideas and invest in people doing God's work for His kingdom. That is just me. That's what I try to do. You are blessed. Hard work pays off.

I would stay away from any liberal city. You are taking a gamble. And Canada is not the place that fits your agenda. Check out border states south of the US (AZ, TX, FL, and even NM). Then aim south. The tide is south. Sell that property. Yes, it will appreciate but long term that city is dead. But regardless stay blessed.

He was born and raised there and currently lives there and has an office in downtown Detroit. Do u even listen to his show? He has investment properties that he owns straight out but prefers to rent his residence. Have u even been to Detroit? It’s the only downtown I know of that has a stadium for 4 different major professional teams. It’s so weird when ppl comment on things they have absolutely no knowledge of.

@@mari_j_mc yes. I know he was born there. So what?! I was born in DC. Im not married to that place. That city and every liberal city will fail. Move out while you have the chance.
