Im 50, a Furry, a World and Avatar Creator also , we do all sorts of fun, and its often not Sus stuff. We throw Events, like rock shows, chill sessions, we help certain communities with VR related stuff. Furries really do make up a high percent of tech jobs and technical fields. Ive made many great friends, thanks to VRChat and the Furry fandom , much of the stigma of furries is still playful banter, much of which is held up by furries as a sort of wall the keep normies out. There will always be haters for anything, you can hate fans of music X or certain age groups, people that have this or that going on. It likely means you don't have the ability to step back and ask yourself "what do they see" and introspect themselves for the odd things they themselves like love or hold dear. I find most people have some weird they hide from others that they think is not socially acceptable, but why? As people learn they are not alone they grow a community around being like minded at least in some ways. Some of these communities, will then start not liking other communities. This is where introspection should come into play. All groups have bad apples and it would be unfair to judge the whole of apple kind for the few bad. At the end of the day we are all People and we should try to get along. Know that you are weird, they are weird, and anyone claiming not to be weird is likely hiding something less savory for some reason. The thing i think they dont like about Furs, is we wear it on our chests. But I can only speak from my own point of view.
If there's one thing I've learned in my time on this rock, it's that being normal is overrated haha. Also I get that cause like my furry pals, even if I'm not a furry myself, we love cracking jokes together. Pindle for instance, the guy in the video and now a good friend of mine, we have an on going joke around that sorta thing and it's great.
Hey supper good job with this! I really enjoyed being a part of it. I think community is something we need as humans that more often than not is missing from our modern lives. People can find community online and express them selves in incredibly diverse ways. VRChat letting you just talk to people in a very natural way makes it a true social space and you can form real connections with people. Its one of the more beautiful places on the internet for sure.
I love finding these videos. I was really into it as a teen but it was when it was really shunned and I was abused for it throughout high school so I pushed it back until recently. Vrchat has let me open up about it more but I don't know where to meet or enjoy similar company...
Honestly, the furry community is the most accepting community I've ever seen and sure, like with every interests/hobbies/fandoms, there are some individuals who caused some negative view on those communities like the RC Airplane community and some guy who recreated 9/11 and added some 1930's German song to it, or the My Little Pony "C*m Jar project" or that one furcon where people were disgusting, damaging stuff, there were Co2 cartridges on the Toilet, people wearing Murrsuits (Fursuits made for doing NSFW stuff) or the one Weeb who set some anime studio in Japan on fire And this one gonna hurt... or the VTuber aggencies who have bad security of their servers (yes, I'm talking about you and your 382gb data leak, Nijisatsi or however this trash agency was called) and just bully their talents or the time where one agency was hiding stuff like one of their almost commited suic*** and they just called it a break before canceling their contract... oh oh, and the one time where my ex-favorite talent called Coco said that Taiwan is a country and some entitled Chinese dumbasses bullied her for saying this and her agency just canceled the contract instead of giving a big middle finger to those stupid idiots and just suing them for harrasement XD Yes, Taiwan is a country, I was there, it has amazing car/motorcycle culture and it's lest restrictive than the censorship country China. There is a reason why RUclips, Google etc. is banned in China and by accessing it through VPN you're breaking their idiotic laws

It's cause the algorithm goes brrr haha. But hey happy to be of service! Always makes me smile hearing that these types of videos are both entertaining and informative hehe
Great video imo. Feels like a very honest approach and the interviews were great to listen to. They (the interviewees) seem like lovely people and this approach does a way better job humanizing and characterizing this subculture than a descriptive video essay could, I think. You set a framework without pushing a narrative and gave the people room to speak their mind. I do like that they were honest about some of the more controversial aspects of the fandom- The furries I've personally met were mostly quite fun to be around, but you do notice that they tend to be more lewd/expressive and certainly a bit more 'out there'. This is not a bad thing per se, but it can definitely leave a certain impression with people who are not willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, which is why this approach to characterizing them works well. Most coverage on VRChat nowadays tends to be more negative, focusing on (some valid) problems with the game/community or the 'cringe' aspects of it- Or at least that is the expression that I am getting. In my experience, there are a lot of problems the game and community has, and they are worth addressing. But more often than not you'll find that people on vrc are lovely people just being themselves, more honestly so than what is possible elsewhere (the furries being a great example of this). Highlighting these kinds of people and this aspect of the game that made me (and many others) fall in love with it is absolutely an effort I can support.
It means a lot hearing that as its always been my goal with content such as this to never step on the toes of those groups and their culture. Just because someone does something different than me doesn't mean I should judge them for it!
I chalk up the negativity to what I've dubbed 'Fur envy' We can basically have anything and do anything we feel like because our community has enough talent to make it a reality. I can see how that might scare people and/or cause jealousy.
Mmm, I'm not sure I quite agree with that cause that makes it sound a little entitled, but I think it's more of the fact of the envy coming from the fact of being able to be who you are and express yourself freely more than anything tbh.
Being a furry is just being a fan or having interest in anthropomorphic animals.. the end... Its just that such a simple requirement is so open that people come at it from every conceivable angle. This is why, what a furry is, is a simple question, but what it means to a person may not be. I mean you can be a fan of them because having one as a persona, or fursona as it were, gives anonymity and lets you express yourself more freely.. Or you may be a fan of anthro characters from an artistic and creativity perspective. The level of freedom in creating something your own. Maybe someone is a fan that is souly into the fursuiting side, either crafting or bringing a character to life. It could also be some people are fans only because the community is open and accepting, and they desperately need a safe space in their life. There are also those who like anthropomorphic animals for how they allow movies and shows to express hard and touchy topics through the lens of an animal given human characteristics, all that weird and uncomfortable stuff people ignore about humanity shined right back at them. Its easier to note flaws in others afterall. That, last one may explain why so much hate gets thrown at furries.. People are throwing stones without realizing they are looking at a mirror, not a window.
Furries are hated because we do what we want without being bound my the social norms. You want to give someone a pat on the head, IRL you'd be seen as crazy, in the fandom its considered nice. Do what you want, be who you want, and as long as your kind and dont show lewd things your basically always fine.
We are cringe but sometimes cringe can be fun and great to be a part of. Furries are the most welcoming and wholesome group of people on the internet I’ve ever met (for the most part), and I’m glad to be one. The only thing about that though is many people don't identify as a furry by simply one small thing and typically takes multiple things for them to want to identify as a furry. I myself for instance think blaidd is an awesome character, but that is not a strong enough basis for me to consider myself a furry. Also thank you for the input btw! One thing I think would be good to add is that the worst people are often the loudest. I've noticed that the negative perception of, not just furries, but also general negative perceptions of different groups or people, stem from some stories of a few bad apples that just happened to get a lot of attention. In a majority of these cases, those bad apples are actually fairly few in number. It's also important to keep in mind how flexible language is and how meaning can vary a lot from person to person, as well as how large a group is. Furries have a lot of cases of bad people, but it's important to keep in mind how enormous the community is. The bigger the group, the more opportunities for a rotten minority. Also, as a furry myself, I would like to say that you did a great job with this. I think it's great to have more and more people mentioning furries and actually being reasonably educated on the topic.
Pindle (Minecraft Enjoyer) seems like a pretty dope dude, just how he carried himself very genuine. Keep on Keepin on man, you're very newbie, i've been stuck here for 13 years I can't leave its taken me, GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

Funny thing is that even bad people mostly do not go to seek violence: It's more likely they just want to do their own thing, but they are not in a headspace that has any sort of unselfishness or acceptance that other peoples' business is not yours, just because you would never do something yourself. It is self-absorbed person with as much self-awareness and understanding of the world is very narrow and ends up usually being from underloved or emotionally unstable people. They have the desire to be right and feel good about themselves, not to be good and help people or respect others.
That's really awesome to hear that you enjoyed it! I really want to hit a middle ground between haha funny and actually good information in these types of videos 😤

2:30 YES OMG THANK YOU, i wear a furry avi and kids immediately think im a furry when i dont associate myself as one. i just like the avatar and its cute
Yeah that's absolutely awful and not acceptable. People can be rude in VR. I remember making my hava video and there was a guy who was straight up getting bullied for trying to enjoy themselves in the black cat
Gotta give mad props to these two guys being open with the fact that like 85% of the community is cool, but that 15% that isn’t is not being brushed under the rug. It’s acknowledged, it’s condemned, and we move on.
I think one positive thing about furry community is that it is a signal that you are taking the risk of not being a grey blob who doesn't stick out in any way. I think it's one way to signal my willingness to (openly) participate in something I enjoy. It's like a club where you have to be friendly and treat others kindly. And use your kind words. I used to be very angry inside a lot and imagine social interactions with people who upset me, and direct anger at them mentally. But when I made furry friends they started taking that place, and I can't be angry at them. I am literally less hate and spiteful because of furries.
1:49 please research what furry words to say becuse i know if you probably at the time dident know what yiff means but if i explain it i might get baned from cominting so if your interested look it up
ive been a furry since i was five, didnt know the term or anything.. but i made up worlds and stories for my stuffed animals to live in, and when both my younger siblings grew out of playing before me i turned to drawing and writing for them i remember once in school someone saw me drawing characters and told me i wanted to have sex with animals because i drew them as humanlike... i was so dumbfounded this is all before the internet was a household thing, its just like... is that the natural assumption or shome shit? like they assumed the lore of the characters is that they're half human? so animal sex >< no dude they're aliens and im asexual go fuck yourself kthnx i guess what im trina say is furries got hate all the time way before the internet even without there being words for it in your area. people are just confused, that or everything they do revolves around sex and so they think everyone esle is the same way. i dunno fucking love vrchat nice vid man
Of course! That was one of my main objectives with this video. Even some of the biggest RUclipsrs clickbait videos on the topic talking involving typical comments like furries being "cringe" or whatever. Im a simple man, I'll make a slightly unhinged video while also ensuring that it's informative ☕💜
You know it ultimately came down to fact that it was hard to shell in script wise tbh. I made several reiterations stopping to talk about it never worked out well. Ultimately I cut it out of the video since a lot of the furry community themselves don't promote or like that stuff either. ☕

1:49 please research what furry words to say becuse i know if you probably at the time dident know what yiff means but if i explain it i might get baned from cominting so if your interested look it up
AMAZING! Something I’ve been wanting you to see. Amazing work sweet bean!
Hey thank you! I'm happy that the video came out well and that you enjoyed it!
At the beginning of the video I knew the song, the song name was in heat but It was instrumental.
Yes true
I love these videos btw, I came back to it because I couldn't finish it and it was twelve a.m when I was watching this, so I'm glad I finished it❤
ive been a furry since i was five, didnt know the term or anything.. but i made up worlds and stories for my stuffed animals to live in, and when both my younger siblings grew out of playing before me i turned to drawing and writing for them
i remember once in school someone saw me drawing characters and told me i wanted to have sex with animals because i drew them as humanlike... i was so dumbfounded
this is all before the internet was a household thing, its just like... is that the natural assumption or shome shit? like they assumed the lore of the characters is that they're half human? so animal sex ><
no dude they're aliens and im asexual go fuck yourself kthnx
i guess what im trina say is furries got hate all the time way before the internet even without there being words for it in your area. people are just confused, that or everything they do revolves around sex and so they think everyone esle is the same way. i dunno
fucking love vrchat
nice vid man
Great insight, and thank you for the kind words mate! 🧉
aUr so underrated brodie 😭😭 this is so high quality abd u it explained really well hahfdas also pretty funny 👍‼️
Heck yeah, glad to hear the video hit the mark mate! Hope you enjoy future slightly unhinged videos as well!
Awesome video, keep up the good work.
Thank you so much 😆☕
Thank you for being respectful
Of course! That was one of my main objectives with this video. Even some of the biggest RUclipsrs clickbait videos on the topic talking involving typical comments like furries being "cringe" or whatever.
Im a simple man, I'll make a slightly unhinged video while also ensuring that it's informative ☕💜
I like how every interview is a rex ha ha lol
Funny how that works, at least its not two protogens haha
Hey my rex is really modified at least >.>
@@BlizzyFox your Avi is pretty clean with those cybernetics and stuff tbh
Production quality out the wazoo, all your work really pays off
I try my best 😄
thank you!
Awesome vid!
Can't wait to see what you have lined up in this series.
The next one is gonna be a big one to say the least hehe 😁

The whole video and noone addresses zoophilia.
You know it ultimately came down to fact that it was hard to shell in script wise tbh.
I made several reiterations stopping to talk about it never worked out well. Ultimately I cut it out of the video since a lot of the furry community themselves don't promote or like that stuff either. ☕
because furries aren’t usually zoophiles! hope this helps.
Furrys: Why does people hate us?
Also furrys: *Rainfurfest.*
Still, you can not generalise the furries based on an Event that happened years ago. Especially since only a small part of the community went there.
that's kind of the point of the video! Glad you understand mate
