How to make a Paper Water Lily / Lotus flower, using just coloured paper and glue: Easy DIY tutorial

Water lilies to make your home and spaces more beautiful... and an easy way to make them yourself!
Follow this tutorial to make beautiful water lilies to decorate your home, meditation space, dining table and more.
Detailed step-by-step instructions are given below.

You will need:
Coloured paper in shades of pink, light yellow and green, of thickness between 120-200 gsm
Green felt pens
Glue
Scissors
Pencil
Fold the pink paper, draw petal shapes and cut out 25 to 30 petals.
At the base of each petal, cut a slot. Overlap the flaps and stick.
Cut a circle of paper and use it as a base. Stick the petals onto the circle in layers.
Cut a strip of yellow paper. Cut the edges into a fine fringe.
Roll the yellow fringe to make the centre of the lotus.
Cut some leaves from green paper. Draw veins with a green felt pen.
Attach the water lily to a leaf. Make more, and use them to decorate walls, shelves, meditation areas, dining tables and more!
