In my opinion, *The New Age Outlaws* were what really made DX successful. James' introductions were legendary and he cut better promos than any of the rest of the crew. He and Gunn truly complemented each other as a Tag Team and I enjoyed watching their matches. There was a humanity about him that, from what I observed, exceeded many in the organization. I recall the raw emotion he exuded after the passing of Owen Hart. You could tell he was sincere and that Hart's demise had a tremendous impact on him. I'm glad he was able to overcome his obstacles in life and I wish him all the best.
Holy cow I don't think I've ever met a Road Dogg mark before lmao. Better promos than Shawn is insane. DX legitimized Road Dogg not the other way around. Look at what that dude was doing before DX. Absolute joke, DX was white hot before Road Dogg and constantly in the title picture. Shawn has some of the most legendary promos the business has ever heard. Just off the top of my head: 1. Brets sunny days 2. Hogan's ,"cat like agility" 3. Takers "Who's the best" Seriously off the top of your head name ONE legendary Road Dogg promo, not just entertaining - but straight up legendary. Road Dogg was a terrible wrestler with decent mic skills who got over thanks to his catchphrase and association with DX. The end. There's nothing wrong with that, I loved the dude and found him entertaining too but "Road Dogg MADE DX" is one of the craziest takes I've ever heard lol.
You forgot 1 fact. He was the first one during the Attitude Era, to use the term "Puppies" referring to breasts. The King made it popular, but Road Dogg coined the term.
Your Ass better calllllllllllllllll somebodyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Lol 👊. I have not heard every wrestler from the past or even present , but i no a really good amount of wrestling knowledge to say that in my opinion Road Dog is in the top #3 of all time greats who could grab the Mic and get the crowd pumped!!!???!! Just my opinion but ,,,, ohhh you didn't nooooooo??? Your ass better text some bodyyyyyyyyy !!!! And let me no who worked the crowd on there entrance music like Jessy J. ???
The new age outlaws was my favorite tag team by far. When the music hit and road Dogg came out and started saying those famous lines i knew it was on. He also lived in my hometown and I got to meet him a few times and get his autograph so that was cool as well
Glad James held up for his family and got a happy journey afterwards. And HHH might have been a pain for sometime, but glad he looked out for a mate. And understandable quitting as a Producer under Vinnie. V'Mac is a tough boss, a tough competitor. But giving the opportunity again is awesome.
I got suspended in 5th grade for yelling "yo' ass better caaaall somebodyyyy" in the hallway after passing by a classroom and hearing a teacher talking to another student saying "...oh, you didn't know?". 🤣😂🤣😂
Please make a Video about Billy Gunn.....I thought I have seen one, but I think that was a mistake.....he made it to match his Character in every Era of WWE he was in....and is a well respected Veteran.....I love this Guy
I really like your content, this is about the 10th one or so I've watched, and I find your attention to detail, and analysis really well done. Keep up the great work. I am probably in the minority here, but I LOVED 'the Roadie' character, he was a hoot. I have so many fond memories of him interfering on Double J's behalf, and he just made his character work. Obviously he was part of some memorable stuff with DX, but the Roadie remains one of my fave characters from that era, where there were a lot of crappy ones to be found. Glad to hear he isn't one of the ones you had to do an obituary about also.
I miss his MIC work. He was a legend when talking to fans. 110% deserving of his WWE Hall of Fame. When he was on TV I never changed the channel. Legend
I've binged watched your whole channel this weekend and it's great stuff. Perhaps speak up just a little bit though if there's any issue with the channel other than that it's very good!
Another good video. Some future ideas for what I’d like to see; Bam Bam Bigelow Bob Backlund CM Punk Rick Rude Rick Martel Bruiser Brody Keep up the good work
I think cm punk is a great idea. Maybe then people will know the man ignored doctor's orders and wrestled an indy match with a FRACTURED SKULL. Which is funny considering g how he blames every doctor for everything
The WWE literally paid for him to go to rehab handfuls of times because they care for him, they gave him a second chance, it has nothing to do with the money.
Not gonna lie, I NEVER thought Road Dog was a good wrestler... he was at the right place with the right tag partner at the right time!! Great documentary on him but I just got to be honest!
It’s funny, they say that The Armstrong Curse is the inability to get over. Brian is widely regarded as the least talented in ring performer of the brothers, but because he was miles better on the mic he was the one who ended up breaking the curse. Hahaha
When DX reformed with just HBK and HHH, HHH would use a phrase after they'd entered the ring. It used to be James with the "If your not down with DX...you can Suck It!" It was iconic. HHH would mimic Michael Buffer and say " Let's get ready to Suck It!" I cannot understand the logic in that.
I remember the very brief period when it was "Jesse Jaames" because he had to have two 'doubles' in his name as a rib on Jeff Jarrett's name. So stupid lol
The Road Dogg Jesse James has a podcast on RUclips called Oh You Didn't Know... I loved the New Age Outlaws and The Road Dogg. He was my favorite wrestler besides Stone Cold at this time. I was 10-11 years old and I would copy The Road Dogg's wobbly leg walk and his Shake Rattle Roll punches. I was so stupid.
I was never a fan of the Road Dogg as a wrestler. But I appreciated him. I hate to be one of 'those guys', but he had perhaps one of the worst 'move sets' of all time. However, he was great at getting beat up...and that is possibly an even bigger part of being a good wrestler than having a bunch of flashy moves. While his offence was kind of limited, he truly understood what he was doing and why he was doing it. I also didn't care for his outfits and appearance. It was just tacky. He looked like a trailer park rapper. We all know the type. The kind of guy who is an ICP fan. haha. But regardless of that, he got over and that is not an easy thing..even in that era where everyone was seemingly over. So yeah,..I am not a fan, but I appreciate him. The dude could take a beating like one one else.
When I saw the vkm part I was thinking Back in 08 or 07 or whatever I saw in Wikipedia that Jim Ross commented a video saying Vince won’t respond to the war and I kept looking for it
1:54 and 2:08 - are you sure both of these matches happened in 94? Because in the two images shown, road dogg's hair grows about a foot and a half at least - That would probably take a couple years....
Not like Hogan , Nash , Hall , Goldberg , Sid , Fair but he was in Booker T , even DDP salary conditions..good money but not in the highest paid..WWF made a big mistake not take him...
The Outlaws were right about one thing. .DX would never have been as cool as it was if them and Xpac hadnt joined it. During the original HBK/HHH/Chyna run..it was almost like you were waiting for something to happen...someone else to join
Since find your wrestling videos I've been watching all of them that I can find nice videos by the way... Could you possibly do a videos on Bugsy Magraw? I don't know if a lot of people know about him or not? But just as he seemed to be growing in popularity he disappeared just as suddenly?
Addiction is a bitch. I know addicts are annoying and often hurt those around them but it's good to think of it as the disease doing the damage and not the actual person. Yes addicts are still responsible for their actions but their disease doesn't give them a choice in doing the things they do. It's like a ravenous beast that needs to be fed by any means necessary. It's sad, and locking addicts up does nothing to help. I'm glad Brian Armstrong was able to get himself together. It's never too late, and all you need to do in order to be a success is to get up just one more time than you've been knocked down.
I used to wonder what ever happened to Brad Armstrong? 🤔 now I know he is the brother of the Road Dogg Jesse James aka the real Double J! Learnt something new!
Thank You for serving this country and for giving us the freedom that every citizen deserves, Sergeant Brian Girard James. Salute.
freedom from who? some dudes in sandals in a desert getting killed because theres oil under their houses? stop it

Facts I think it took off when the new age outlaws joined
This, they was down with current pop culture at the time coming to the ring with South park shirts
Did you just say road dawg jesse james cut better promos than shawn micheals or triple h? Lmao
@@deecliff6896 : Definitely better than HHH.

Mm. What an innovative athlete.
Learn somethin' new everyday
Never Forget....
I forgot all about king saying puppies.
Was it on a episode of raw
If Road Dogg stayed clean he would have gone even further in wwe! Real shame he left in early 2001 so much talent
One of the best wrestlers to work a mic.
Lol no. You may as well say that Howard Finkel was one of the best to work a mic. That's essentially all he was on the mic, DX's personal announcer.
Fact him and Rock and Stone Cold was 🔥
I wouldn't go that far. One of best he's so terrible on the mic it's good sometimes is more accurate
🎯
How many other wrestlers do you know could come out and say " oh you didn't know" while having the entire crowd repeat in unison? THE ENTIRE CROWD
Road Dog is so underrated. He might have been the sole reason why I stopped watching WCW and gave Raw a shot
OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW?...
YOUR ASS BETTER CAAAAALLLLLL SSOOOOOOMMMMMMBBBOOOOODDDDYYYYYYY!!
YEH DAMN RIGHT!!! IT'S ME IT'S ME THE D O DOUBLE G
Oh HELL YEAH
Your Ass better calllllllllllllllll somebodyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Lol 👊. Always loved Road Dogg much respect
The new age outlaws was my favorite tag team by far. When the music hit and road Dogg came out and started saying those famous lines i knew it was on. He also lived in my hometown and I got to meet him a few times and get his autograph so that was cool as well
Wow. Congrats Road Dogg. I did not know of his struggles.
Saw Road Dogg In Glasgow in 2001 on a WWA card, was one of the best moments of the night!
Man the Disco Inferno character would've SOOOO fit WWF!!
I got suspended in 5th grade for yelling "yo' ass better caaaall somebodyyyy" in the hallway after passing by a classroom and hearing a teacher talking to another student saying "...oh, you didn't know?". 🤣😂🤣😂

Another favorite of mine. Thank you for posting this.
His DX intro of “Oh you didn’t know “!!?
Made DX . It set the tone for their act . Without him DX would no way have been as successful as they were
Love the hillbilly comment, your quite the judge! 😂
Considering DX was very successful before Road Dogg even joined the group? Yeah....no.
Just discovered this awesome channel and currently binge watching. Love it!
Another savage video checkin everday for new ones look forward to more
Your channel is phenomenal. I have binged all of the mini documentaries. Very well done and accurate. Thanks for your hard work.
I didn't know Brad Armstrong was dead :( ...what a talent he was, in my eyes the most gifted in-ring out of all the brothers.
Road Dogg got me suspended In the 6 grade for saying “deez nuts” 😂😂
I like it when he use to say yo ass better call somebody!! Classic
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You have the best wrestling Channel on RUclips can you please do a video on Ravishing Rick Rude
At this rate he should have that one up pretty soon.
Rick Rude video is 100% in the schedule! Thanks for your support :)
Wrestling Lists Thank you so much can't wait until tomorrow for the video keep up the great work
Mic skills. That's what made his career. Great on the mic
To be perfectly honest the new age outlaws are one of my all time favourite wrestling tag teams
I really like your content, this is about the 10th one or so I've watched, and I find your attention to detail, and analysis really well done. Keep up the great work.

Keep em coming big bro...
I've binged watched your whole channel this weekend and it's great stuff. Perhaps speak up just a little bit though if there's any issue with the channel other than that it's very good!
One of the best on the mic
Probably an unpopular opinion, but this was my favorite character among D-X
Great channel.I love these the Scott Hall one was great!
Woot woot love your videos on ppl and not just top 10 lists. Thanks buddy:)
Appreciate the content man. Thank you. 👍👍👍👍👍
Seriously my all time fave!!!!!
Another good video. Some future ideas for what I’d like to see;
Bam Bam Bigelow
Bob Backlund
CM Punk
Rick Rude
Rick Martel
Bruiser Brody
Keep up the good work
Bob backlund and rick martel is a must 💯💯👍
I think cm punk is a great idea. Maybe then people will know the man ignored doctor's orders and wrestled an indy match with a FRACTURED SKULL. Which is funny considering g how he blames every doctor for everything
Man I HATED Bob Backlund back in the day, but he's a great dude outta kayfabe
As my Samoan buddy would say:
"That's nice bruddah, real nice!🤙🏽"
Another good video man, keep it up & I'll keep sharing them!😉

Fascinating how he talked s..t about the WWE yet accepted a new job with them. The power money truly has.
The WWE literally paid for him to go to rehab handfuls of times because they care for him, they gave him a second chance, it has nothing to do with the money.
Brad almost broke it but Road dog completely broke the Armstrong curse
Favourite one yet! Keep it up
we can always count on " a pinch of salt" from my m8 here on every video.haha love it
Not gonna lie, I NEVER thought Road Dog was a good wrestler... he was at the right place with the right tag partner at the right time!! Great documentary on him but I just got to be honest!
He was a helluva worker when he wanted to.
Wasn’t the best wrestler, but he had awesome mic skills and charisma that could work the crowd with ease.
It’s funny, they say that The Armstrong Curse is the inability to get over. Brian is widely regarded as the least talented in ring performer of the brothers, but because he was miles better on the mic he was the one who ended up breaking the curse. Hahaha
Road dogg was a great performer one best ever on the mic shame his career went downhill because of drugs he could been big
Awesome documentary...how about Rick Rude??
There is one
He had mad charisma any totally owned the microphone
I remember the very brief period when it was "Jesse Jaames" because he had to have two 'doubles' in his name as a rib on Jeff Jarrett's name. So stupid lol
Fun fact road dogg and jessie james hooked up in kansas city kemper arena I was at that match
Good one how about Hurcules Hernandez!!!
Wrestling list you never let me down! 😊❤
He actually was my 3rd favorite wrestler growing up
Micah Watkins
I’m sorry.
Lol oof 😅
That dumpster match bay bay! Classic that gotbyhem over with me! It was my first foray back to wrestling right when Austin won the title
Thank you Mr. Road dog
I had no idea Road Dogg and R.Truth were working together. I bet the two of them would have made some very great entertainment together.
You do great work man, thank you
awesome...can you do some of the awa old school guys like baron von raschki, the crusher, and mad dog vaschon
I've just found your channel and my reaction is literally "where have you been all my life "?
I was never a fan of the Road Dogg as a wrestler. But I appreciated him. I hate to be one of 'those guys', but he had perhaps one of the worst 'move sets' of all time. Did you see him before his Road Dogg career?
Prayers for road Dog needed
Another great video man!!!
Another great video as always. When will we get a life and career of Scotty 2 hotty?
The "Load Hog"
I loved new age out laws
It's me, it's me, the D-O Double G
GREAT THE CAREER OF BRIAN GIRARD JAMES AKA ROAD DOGG JESS JAMES !!!!
"OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW?!?!? YOUR ASS BETTER CALL SOMEBODY!!!"
Outstanding BIOS ,tq ✌🏻
When I saw the vkm part I was thinking Back in 08 or 07 or whatever I saw in Wikipedia that Jim Ross commented a video saying Vince won’t respond to the war and I kept looking for it
Great content
Great. I love all your Podcasts.
Dang. I remember Brian Armstrong in the eve but didn’t connect that it was him. 🤷🏾♂️
1:54 and 2:08 - are you sure both of these matches happened in 94? Because in the two images shown, road dogg's hair grows about a foot and a half at least - That would probably take a couple years....
Extensions. Those are extensions
How do you find all these details mate?!
If your not down with that we've got two words for you.
I had 2 really good matches against road Dogg and he is talented.
I heard disco inferno was one of highest paid wrestlers at wcw
Not like Hogan , Nash , Hall , Goldberg , Sid , Fair but he was in Booker T , even DDP salary conditions..good money but not in the highest paid..WWF made a big mistake not take him...
You had mick mick skills that no other ever had including ric flair
Call ? Roaddogg at the road house 🐕
Wouldnt mind seeing a disco inferno video as well
I didn't know r truth was in WWF that long ago
The Outlaws were right about one thing. .DX would never have been as cool as it was if them and Xpac hadnt joined it. During the original HBK/HHH/Chyna run..it was almost like you were waiting for something to happen...someone else to join
He has a great podcast now too
I know hes not that popular, but could you do a video on the hurricane?
Do a Billy Gunn wrestling bio
Since find your wrestling videos I've been watching all of them that I can find nice videos by the way... Could you possibly do a videos on Bugsy Magraw? I don't know if a lot of people know about him or not? But just as he seemed to be growing in popularity he disappeared just as suddenly?
#NotificationGang
This is sick
Actually billy was on losing streak and Road Dogg came down and offered to become a tag team
The Honky Tonk storyline was good but Vince buried it...Rock a Billy and Roadie was such good gimmick at once..Yet the Outlaws became better...
Hunter was way out of line for mentioning the Armstrong Curse

I just started watching this so I don't know if you have done one with Kevin Sullivan.
I used to wonder what ever happened to Brad Armstrong? 🤔 now I know he is the brother of the Road Dogg Jesse James aka the real Double J! Learnt something new!
No, Brad is his brother. Brad passed away a few years ago. Road Dogg is Brad's youngest brother, Brian.
@@cricket4291 true. I meant to put that in my comment but obviously I didn’t proofread. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
Its me it mes it d o double g
O U DIDNT KNOW YO ASS BETTER CALL SOMEBODY
Do u have any videos of val venis
