There is so much sport climbing near Vegas besides at Red Rock. We were out there last fall and were surprised by the lack of climbers at the limestone areas. At Red Rock proper, the sandstone routes were often crowded with lines, where when we ventured to the La Madre range, Potosi and Mt Charleston, we generally had the crags all to ourselves, didnt see many people.
So many climbers at red rock are coming from out of town to experience it, the locals know how much abounds outside! Still, there are remote and quiet spots in red rock. Especially for trad climbing
J-Star picks best routes. Such beautiful lines and variety of movement! I still go back and watch his video smashing the New World Order route in Little Si. This one is up there too!
@@gallanonim6535 exactly what I was going to say, Peruvian necktie is absolutely mindblowing and the footage is amazing, definitely up there in the game of sport climbing vids !
I love the close ups with small focal depth on the climbing. Would have been better if he gave breakdown of the route. Context always makes the send more exciting to watch. Then again, you can see the difficulty while he climbs it.
I asked him on insta a while back when i saw him wearing green shoes but he didn't reply. Theres a lot more rubber for toe hooking on this shoe than the current skwama. Maybe its a new skwama in R&D.
Epic's content is always excellent, but... Jonathan deserves better than many of these shots. Cameraman, PLEASE back off a bit - seeing someone's torso as they throw for an out-of-shot hold is FAR less impressive than SEEING WHAT THEY'RE GOING FOR, and how long and improbable the move is! 🙏
Wow, that line was amazing. But even better was the video quality. Big shoutout to Orographic Visual, the unsung hero here.
Was thinking the same!
Agreed! He killed the long shot on the actual red point try. It's tough to stay sharp while a climber is moving so much etc! He is a boss
I came to say the same
Nate and orographic are awesome!
Absolutely epic filming, loved being able to see the holds, really gave a better idea of the difficulty
Radical looking route. Im always impressed how hard he works on routes.
Great send and great video quality, thanks !
Jonathan Siegrist sends + EpicTV Mini Documentaries, name a better combo
Haha thank you!
Amazing route. Some of the best footage I've seen!
Great video! +1 to the notes about clipping footage - was really good to see it so up close
Can someone confirm that I am seeing water being poured into a chalk bag at 1:37
I love that the film included the clipping footage. Some choose to get rid of it but it just adds to the experience and immersion

One of the best short sport climbing clips I’ve seen! Damn!!
That route looks sweet. Would love to see a vlog about the process of working on something like that.
Did he put Gatorade in his chalk bag?
Electrolytes, it's what the hands crave!
Whoa, thank you so much for this!
Exceptionally well made video
The limestone crags outside Vegas look baller.
a high quality video and high quality rock climbing
sick video, thank you!

I would add the Peruvian Necktie clip to the list. Beatifull footage, Orographic does extremely impressive work.

that was unreal, my hands started sweating. that just got me siked to climb
Fantastic music choice! 😉
Awessome route!!
Wondering when those flashy vegan skwama's will be released :O.
Epic!!!! Just like the channel.
For at least half of this climb, I'm really not clear what he's even holding. Insane
So sick JStar! Cant wait him him to set some new stuff at BRC in Boulder. What a crusher!
Random, but does anyone know which arc’teryx shorts these are? I really dig them.

Nice video bros
Very sick.

skwama vegan
badass!
the contact strength on the crux tho, sweet jesus
What shoes are those?
The climbing is cool, but it's really throwing me off that Jstar isn't in testarossas.
hahah I know it's a weird thing to get used to
Which model is it?
Skwama Vegan 🌱
Jonathan, have you burned through your stash of old Testarossas already? :)
@@bostjan-sj no not yet! But I really needed a toe hooking shoe for the crux on this one. So I had to go rogue!
Are those green Solutions👀
green skwamas, (skwama vegan)
Pour water in the chalk bag?
Is it credible that all the bolts on these two new routes are old legal bolts?
Did he pour water in his chalk bag?
did jstar just pour sports drink into his chalk bag??
Yeasss
👏👍💓
Are those green skwamas???
vegan

@@DDNguyen93 there's a tad bit more rubber there but besides that they're identical. p sure its just vegan and tasty
@@rickittyrickith7028 it looks like the same amount of rubber to me
