    I love Mom and through that, they are wonderful parents who have raised great eaglets. I hope they rebuild the nest❤

      It seems that Raptor Resource Project has decided to put up another platform, hoping the eagles will build a new nest on it. I'm not a huge fan of the man-made platform lure, personally.

      I'm not a fan of the man-made nests either 🫤. They don't allow for the individual twigs to move and adapt to movement. Some just look so fake.

    I've had such a wonderful experience watching the four of them. I was dreading the day 17 & 18 would leave. I wish they could have all stayed as one family for the next 30 years to watch. Those 2 are so strong. I know they'll thrive.

    Eagles time and time again like mom and dad have shown that even though they have gone through tough times this season they still showed just how tough they are and how they adapted to losing their nest and still were able to take care of their babies together. Team work makes the dream work and both North’s showed that and I know they will continue in the new season next year too with their next E’s too. God bless to this family and I wish much success for them during their off season too. Thanks Whimsy for another awesome video recap. God bless you and hope you’re well too. Sue M. Florida ❤️🦅🦅🥰🙏❌⭕️

    I'm so happy for dn17 & dn18 but bummed at the same time. I was new to this nest, so being able to watch them both hatch & finally fledge was pretty awesome. I'd love to be able to spend one more day watching them wingersize... that's ALWAYS been favorite part of following. I'm glad a gf told me about the Decorah North Nest & I look forward to next season. God Bless this nest ❤️🦅🦅🦅🦅❤️

      @@WingsOfWhimsy Is it by instinct that siblings know they have to leave the area or do the parents have to drive them out? And is the reason because of inbreeding? Will the siblings recognize their parents or each other in the future and vice versa? Sorry for all the questions. 😁

    The oldest Eaglet sibling of most Eagles can be very aggressive. They have even killed their younger siblings and food is the main reason. This hostile, violent behavior is not as prevalent among Bald Eagles, but it can happen if one sibling is much bigger and stronger than the younger one, or they are not getting enough food. That’s why It’s great to see these two Eaglet sibs getting along. The main reason is they hatched one day apart from each other, so they’re very close in age and they grew the same size as each other. The parents are also very good at feeding them. At one point they both feed them at the same time, that’s great team work! I did see a little aggression when they were a week or two old, fighting. But since one of them didn’t back down from the other, they became equal instead of one dominating the other. I’m not sure if chicks play fight at such a young age, but it didn’t look like they were to me. Anyway, after that they became great pals and even shared food, which I loved to see! I really enjoyed the video, the Eaglets are beautiful and the entire family is wonderful and fun to watch. Thank you. ❤😊🙏🥰👍

    13:43 When the Eaglet tried to swallow the bones, I thought omg is he gonna choke? but then they popped out as quickly as they went in! 😂😂😂

    What happened at min 39:25? Did dad chase off one of its babies? Time to move on?

    • @WingsOfWhimsy
      @WingsOfWhimsy  Месяц назад +1

      That was simply poorly timed movement by both parent and eaglet, I believe. :)
