This is why I try to hold on to my dad. My mom and dad lost a family friend who was one of the firefighters who perished in the attacks. My mom told me he was a good man, my mom met him in the 90s while she was on a college retreat in New York while he was finishing college there like she was- they hit it off immediately- he even got to meet my father as well and was even there for their wedding in 99’ I’m often shown pictures of him and I definitely would of loved to meet him- my mom even said he was excited to meet me 2 months before I was born- sadly however a month later, he lost his life- I think about him time to time and imagined what it would of been like had I met him- my mom said he was a true hero even if it cost him his life. I’m 21 now and even to this day, I still think about him. I hope this video brings joy to those who love their dads just as much as I love mine!
