I think people who have never had anything to do with TBs miss something fundamental in their make up. It's easy, but very incorrect, to think "They're just bred to run", but what they're also bred for is to try hard. It's that trait that sees them entering all kinds of disciplines after retiring, or not making it to the track at all, and that's what I find most endearing about them. Some retire and just want to be a paddock ornament, and that's cool, but most enjoy doing stuff and once they've developed some confidence in whichever pursuit they've found themselves in, they will try hard to learn what you want and do it.
Wow, Capi did great! He is a smart guy---seems like he likes to take a good look at a jump, size it up, & BOOM! He can get over anything, & now that he's so confident, sky's the limit. Well, what do we expect when he's got a super trainer, eh?
Hoorah. that was awesome. What a ways he has come. Can stand off a mile and pat the ground, you don't know when but he can do it all. I am loving this little horse.
He looked amazing! Wow what a beautiful face on him too. Love his espresso coloring ! I am getting on the Capi band wagon now! He used his brave TB pants for this event!! ❤ Elisa’s amazing patience with an emotional boy…just priceless.
That was a tricky enough 1st day out at Prelim this early in the year and he stepped up. Smart enough not to over jump and to fiddle when needed. It will be an interesting year
I dunno why my breathing was so loud 🙃. He was actually a pretty easy ride all things considered and I felt pretty good fitness wise, but I am a mouth breather.
Thank you for giving this horse a chance at a happy ending.

I don't know how Capi feels but the enthusiasm in your voice during the ride really lifts my spirits!

Great job, Capi! Jump 17 looked super long, as in wide spread.
Can't wait to see what you do with Dobby.
it's the era of Scrappy Capi!! awesome job for his first prelim
