Sometimes a player needs matches like these to really light a spark. So many ups and downs in the match for both, but the comeback from 0-40 in that last game was champion stuff from Iga. When all's said and done, crossing the finish line is all that matters.
Coming back from down 0-40 while serving for the match is crazy, Iga didn't play her best but at the end of the day she won, survive and advance
She played very well... had to in order to get past Noskovas. Iga was working hard.
@@ltrotter636Exactly, infact I would say she played her best tennis, it's just that Linda is sooo good she made Iga seem like she wasn't playing great, those errors from the both of them were forced, because they were really battling hard out there. Great match. 🔥

Iga really struggled for most of this match and is fortunate to have won. But coming back from 0 - 40 (hitting 4 amazing winners) to close out the match was pure class. Hoping she plays stronger after this test.

What a rollercoaster match! Happy to see Iga prevailed. Noskova really plays fearlessly, and she has this quiet confidence about her. It wasn't the best performance from Iga, but she showed what a clutch player she is, entered into problem-solving mode after losing that first set, and came back from 0-40 down, in the nick of time. She has done that in different stages of different matches, but this one felt enormous. She keeps the double sunshine hope alive! Jazda Iga!
Whenever iga is challenged or defeated saying she was not at her best is excuse .other players should also be given credit when they deserve

That was becauseher coach gave her advise what to do at 0-40, that advise helped her win the game and match. She said that in an initerview later.

I like the way 1GA ended the match! She showed why she is the number one player in the world. A real champ knows how to win big from behind. It was a good test for her resiliency and mental focus. That 19 yo Noskova sure knows how to rattle 1GA and make her panic. When 1GA narrowly lost the 1st set, I was losing confidence of her winning the next set but she proved me wrong.

No panic, she knows what happened and now it's done and dusted. Wiktorowski has a lot to analyse. Iga played miserably but it takes some top qualities to pull it of like she did. She is a real champion - congrats Iga!!

A rollercoaster, congrats to Noskova, Iga has to analyze this match, instead of of easy two sets 6:2, 6:2 she had hard battle.
I said after Giorgi game , that match against Noskova won't be a walk in the park and it was exactly that.
I still can't understand how Iga lost 1st set, but her response in the 2nd was phenomenal.
All those long , high bounce balls ,just before the end line made Noskova completely rattled. Changing the rhythm of the game along with tempo of her hits made Noskova succumb.
Iga might not be having the best skills on the tour in some of the areas of the game but she is unbelievably intelligent player and can adjust promptly. It was so visible in this game.
Polish Husar girl is still flying. Should be easier in the next round.

In addition to this match summary. In the last game, when the score was 5:4, Iga, on her own serve, was losing 0:40 - later she made 5 more brilliant shots and with this great accent she closed this difficult match. Both tennis players played very aggressive tennis, which caused a lot of mistakes. This time Iga's routine was superior.

Iga should always keep that killer instinct going. Focus on the game, find ways to win, never distracted by anything or threatened by the enemy.
WTA, it would be beneficial for us fans to see the stats of the match at the end ot highlights. Could You add it in the future if possible ?
What we usually see is that Iga struggles a bit when facing players like Elina Rybakina, Ostapenko and Krejcikova. Now we feel that there are two more players who will give problems to Iga, the teenage players Noskova and Kalinskaya. But we believe that with age and maturity Iga will continue to lead the world tennis scene for a long time!

Noskova game is not power hitting like Rybakina or Ostapenko... Not sure what does it trouble her...
This was just a bad day and not the best performance for both players. 107 unforced errors on both sides tells you everything about this game. It is not about struggle with Noskova but more with herself.

Ironically, the service game had let her down throughout the night only to spark the comeback in the end. Those winners were made possible with crisp and accurate placement leaving Noskova helpless!
Mentally tough. Hardly ever off balanced. Always in postition to pounce due to her athleticism, physique and conditioning. She’s the only one that moves like that. She may not win everything out there but she will win a lot of tournaments barring injuries. Bravo Iga !
It seems this is 3rd straight tournament where Noskova met Iga...unlucky draw for both of them its always tough match between them

Iga is a worthy number one and deserves a lot of praise for her consistency. This era has a lot of depth.
This post-Serena era is not as strong as the period when Serena rules.. It is a fantastic era of women's tennis: Serena -Venus- Sharapova- Cjlisters-Henin- Ivanovic - Amelie Moresmo - Kuznetzsova - Hingis - Kvitova - Li Na - Azarenka - Kerber and several more. The Serena era was full of real tough champions
Coming back from 0-40 down must be amazing for Iga but just as painful for Noskova for not able to get that one point for the break

Nie jest sztuka wygrać, jak jest się w formie i ma się dobry dzień. Sztuka jest wygrać mecz, gdy gra się z mocną przeciwniczką a ty masz słabszy dzień i nic ci nie wychodzi. Po tym poznaje się mentalność mistrza.

Worst win I think I have ever seen from Iga. But, she did it, that's all that counts. Finally TSN showed a woman match. Actually switched to IGA from the ATP match. That's a first for TSN. Today, 1 hour and 30 minutes of WTA coverage and all TSN has shown is ATP !!!!! I hate TSN, they sure discriminate against the WTA. Go IGA Go.🍌

Zawsze można liczyć na WTA, że koncertowo spierdolą skrót z meczu Igi. Jak można nie pokazać 4 winner'ów w ostatnim gemie od stanu 0-40??? Zastanawiam się co za lamus składa te skróty, ale u mnie to wyleciałby na zbity pysk po pierwszym dniu roboty. Zresztą te orły z C+ też - jakby co - nie lepsi. Co z tymi ludźmi jest nie tak? Zabijają całą dramaturgię meczu tymi bezpłciowymi skrótami. Było 5-2 w pierwszym secie dla Igi i 6-5 w tie-break'u, a przegrała. W drugim 5-1 i zrobiło się 30-40 w dziesiątym gemie, gdzie Iga musiała bronić break'a, dzięki czemu wygrała seta. Trzeci set 5-3 a później w dziesiątym gemie 0-40 dla Czeszki na remis. Stąd taka emocjonalna reakcja Igi na zwycięstwo, bo to było naprawdę na żyletki, ale oglądając ten skrót można z nudów zasnąć i nie wiadomo z czego tak się ona cieszy. Ot wygrała ostatnie gemy w drugim i trzecim secie i po temacie. Mecz praktycznie bez historii. Ta organizacja jest na każdym poziomie porażką. Ale w sporcie w każdej praktycznie dyscyplinie - poza być może pojedynczymi wyjątkami - w organizacjach światowych czy kontynentalnych, przy korycie tylko skorumpowani nieudacznicy i nieroby siedzą. Jak widać WTA nie jest wyjątkiem.
ps. Do tych wszystkich "inteligentnych inaczej": właśnie dlatego, że oglądałem mecz w całości mam uwagi do skrótu, który w ogóle nie oddaje dramaturgii meczu. Jest to nagminne przy Idze. Jak wygrała z Giorgi to po skrócie zastanawiałem się ile ta Włoszka wygrała z Igą. Pokazali chyba jej wszystkie winnery - a było ich w meczu chyba całe 5. Fajnie to wyglądało: winner Włoszki a cyferki gemów przy Idze do przodu. Także nie napinajcie się ludkowie, bo wam żyłki popękają. I tak po kolei @waldemarrawski9455: sam jesteś trollem. A patrząc po znakach diakrytycznych to raczej pisać zbyt dobrze nie potrafisz, a skoro tak to zgodnie z własną filozofią nie powinieneś się tutaj produkować; @magdalenaborek8350: jak jest kiepski skrót to mnie do niczego nie zachęci. Co do C+ to chodziło mi o ich skrót (polski a też kluczowego momentu meczu nie oddaje), a nie kompetencje. A co do trailera to nie film tylko skrót z relacji sportowej. Nie ma zachęcać do obejrzenia tylko relacjonuje to co już się wydarzyło, więc nie myl pojęć; @reginaltkoralewski2944: mądrzy ludzie mówią, bo mają coś do powiedzenia. Głupcy, bo chcą coś powiedzieć. Twoja wypowiedź zalicza cię do drugiej kategorii. @kowalny: nie oczekuję całych gemów w skrócie, ale te piłki to był cream de la cream tego spotkania. Skoro tego "fachofcy" od tennisa z WTA nie rozumieją to najwyraźniej nie są taki fachowcami jak im się wydaje. W sumie to napisz do nich to może cię zatrudnią, bo widać podobną filozofię wyznajecie.

Iga w tym meczu, zwłaszcza w ostatnim gemie meczu i po piłce meczowej to "stara" wspaniała Iga z 2022 roku, gdy przeszła przez sezon jak burza i weszła na szczyt kobiecego tenisa. Ta mowa ciała, to zdecydowanie, ta koncentracja, ikra, ten pazur, niczym lwica, dla której przeciwniczki są tylko tłem. Taką Igę kocham i w 2023 na taką czekałem. Pojawiła się pod koniec sezonu 2023, a teraz ponownie, jak dwa lata temu. To jest ta najlepsza Iga. Nie musi wszystkiego wygrywać, ale oby wykorzystywała swój potencjał i sama była z siebie zadowolona. Dajesz Iga. Zdrowia i wewnętrznego spokoju.
Linda has nothing to be ashamed of. She played brilliantly and almost prevailed.
She is good...physically and MENTALLY.
It was tough for Swiatek since she was making two consistent errors: 1. playing high loopy balls easy to return with a heavy flat shots difficult to return, 2. she lost at least 4 points having open court but playing at Noskova. She should have won in two straight sets.
Iga the only consistent player in wta after Ashley Barty... Not like sabalenka or others playing now

It was a good performance for Iga in terms of the level she had to produce to get past Noskova. Linda played well and forced Iga to raise her game... can't take anything away from Noskova. The match was close because she challenged Iga, not because 'Iga's game was off.'
Finally gets it. They are so used to those Iga wins. This was a tough challenge and her reaction to winning this match says it all. Linda forced her to play her very best.
Iga's game was definitely off, but so was Noskova's. They shared a zillion UE between them (Noskova had a greater number than Iga). The tennis wasn't great, but the drama was in the stratosphere.
Both players wasn't satisfied after the match. Linda because she lost, Iga because she has to struggle unexpectedly for 2 and half hours.
This last game was just fabulous...

Iga can not play at 100% at early rounds if she seriously thinks to win 2nd WTA 1000 title in a row. Linda is good but I think that same match at the semifinal or final would be easier for Iga and harder for Noskova as Iga at later rounds plays at her best, on the other hand her opponents can not have 'i have nothing to lose attitude' when trophy is in sight and usually play worse.

Linda Noskova is one of the most powerful competitors who fiercely forced Iga in the arduous matches in terms of the physical. Professional Czech tennis player keeps nurturing her mobility and compliance in order to compete more valiant and unyielding than her rivals. Although Iga was down 0-1, I had estimated that Polish tennis competitor was going to achieve another gorgeous comeback within this continuum. It was never easy to vanquish Linda Noskova in these two notable WTA tourneys. Noskova absolutely maintains her steadiness and dominance as of the beginning of 2024 season. She will most likely be more robust and resilient in the upcoming periods.

What I like most are emotions. Additionally, matches won. I supported the handball team. They won 43 out of 44 matches, one draw. Boredom. There is no boredom in Iga's matches.
It should have been a two set match but a win is a win. Alexandeova should be way less tricky.
