I think that Hilda is more powerful in a way than Zelda. Zelda is predictable and easily manipulated. Hilda is practically killing you with kindness and then she litteraly kills you without any remorse if you dare to touch her family in any way. You don't know when she strikes because she is fooling you with her bubbly voice while putting cianade in almond cookies.

People tend to underestimate simple…until it hits them like a Mack truck. :p Hilda doesn’t even raise her voice when she’s putting these bullies in their place, but they’re TERRIFIED of her and won’t be messing with her (or her loved ones) again. Zelda is powerful that's for, but Hilda is a just a completely different type of witch that no one in the other realm can even compare to, not even Sabrina. The magiks that she reaches, her dark side is unmatched.
The best part is that Hilda does not even need magic to be a strong and caring character. She was abused and belittled by Zelda so much all her long life that it makes her go in a cold but seething fury when she sees someone doing the same to someone else who, unlike her, has few to no ways to defend themselves, her magic is just a bonus.
@Rana Rawson She "outed" him ? She didn't say anything specific, just that something horrible was done to him and that is why he is a bully. That's perfectly justified, because from that point on he behaved less like a jerk, Hilda triggered an epiphany, even if it is the hard way. And how exactly is she condoning what the boys did to Billy ? It is not even clearly explained WHAT they did to him.
@Rana Rawson Oh you meant THAT outing. Well that was kind of justified as well since he was as much of a bully as Billy. They harassed Susie/Theo in an almost sexual way and that was the other guy’s comeuppance, it is obvious he acted as a tough heterosexual guy to hide his preferences. So he kind of deserved it. And since she exposed Billy’s secret as well it is unlikely either would out the other. So in a way Hilda did a very good and strategic choice here.
