This is still the most batshit insane movie ever made. The creativity was off the charts with this, and DreamWorks can barely make anything similar nowadays.
Dreamworks is unhinged, they go big or go straight to the trash. Recently "The Wild Robot" has been getting insanely good reviews, it's 97% Critic/98% Audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. But before it, Kung Fu Panda 4 was complete garbage. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was amazing both thematically and in terms of animation. Ruby Gillman was complete garbage. They've had other great movies other the years - Prince of Egypt, How to Train your Dragon, Megamind, etc. It's just that for each of those, you get a Boss Baby, Trolls, or Shark Tale.
@saturdaysequalsyouth i mean we can't run as fast as our cars but bees can run faster than their miniature cars. So they should not use their cars its useless.
I've seen quite a lot of hate comments on this movie but broo the animation is just... If people just know how hard it is to animate then they would appreciate atleast the effort
It’s just kind of funny that in an enclosed society that has no communication with the outside world, there are somehow still different languages. Also, why is Honex owned by a parent corporation, Honeyco, if the bees all work for the same company. Like, what other parent companies are there in the hive?
This is actually kind of brought up in the movie in a scene between Vanessa and Barry. "Why don't you fly everywhere?" "It's exhausting! Why don't you run everywhere?"
I remember watching this as a kid from tv 14, 15 years back then. Never thought a reality can be drawn out from it. You complete college and getting stuck to a 8-5 average life until you die💯
Barry B. Benson, an idealistic honey bee who has the ability to talk to humans, has recently graduated from college and is about to enter the hive's Honex Industries honey-making workforce with his best friend, Adam Flayman. Barry is initially excited to join the workforce, but his ambitious, insubordinate attitude emerges upon discovering that his choice of job will never change once picked. Later, the two bees run into a group of Pollen Jocks, bees who collect pollen from flowers outside the hive, and they offer to take Barry with them if he is "bee enough". While on his first pollen-gathering expedition in New York City, Barry gets lost in the rain, and ends up on the balcony of a human florist named Vanessa Bloome. Upon noticing Barry, Vanessa's boyfriend Ken attempts to squash him, but Vanessa gently catches and releases Barry outside the window, saving his life.
Weirdly it’s not too bad of a movie, it’s cringy af if anything. The animation is great with the fact that liquid in 3D that I’ve heard is absolute Hell to do and work with. Good bit of the movie is liquidy.
Yay I understand I animate so I can tell 3d animation hard for a lot of people to do I'm a lot better at 2d animation and stop motion action figure animation
"No, I'm not going to his funeral! Everybody knows you sting someone, you die, you don't waste it on a squirrel. He was such a hothead." 😂 That's one joke I do laugh at!
It had been almost 17 years since this movie came out i was about 5 years old when i first watched this and every time i did i never noticed that after all this time Barry and Adam are just representations of the two paths in adulthood, responsible and fair income, or carefree and income becomes a gamble
I love how the concept is bees working their asses off for a whole two years (which is the lifespan of the average honeybee). Then, them suing the human race for taking their honey after two years of hard work. From a human's perspective. Two years of hard work ain't shit for a lifetime. 😆
BEE MOVIE Jerry Seinfeld Renée Zellweger Matthew Broderick John Goodman Patrick Warburton and Chris Rock Additional Voices Larry Miller as Buzzwell (voice) Megan Mullally as Trudy (voice) Jim Cummings as Graduation Announcer (voice)
Heh this movie perpetuates most of the incorrect common ideas about bees. Main two being the whole “bees shouldn’t be able to fly” thing. That’s not true. They just don’t use the same mechanism to fly that other flying creatures like birds do, we perfectly understand how they fly. Second being the whole “a bee can only sting once then dies” thing. Not true. That only applies when bees sting specific animals like humans, our skin makes the stinger get stuck so when the bee tries to full off it rips it’s stinger off. But bees can sting other bee species, wasps and other insects over and over just fine. Reminds me of the titanic movie, people watch it and take the stuff as fact and regurgitate it to make themselves look knowledgeable when they’re really just too lazy to verify anything they see or hear.
How did this movie become such a giant meme? I mean, I get why the Shrek & Cars movies are memes, but I never got why this film is when it's just boring.

If the bee movie had laugh tracks it would basically be Seinfeld: The Movie
“So you’ll just work us to death?” Well the longest a bee can live is around two years so might as well make the best of it lol
Considering that they take only 3 day of their school lives (Grade, High, and College) it makes sense.
That lifespan is for Queen Bees. Bees only live up to 30 days.
@@JOSHUAAGUILAR-f4o makes my point even better lol
