Although I know it is a big no no. Depending on my mood I will use the sync button or when playing with another DJ they'll have it on. Could you provide a video explaining proper use of that as I have encountered some trouble turning it on and off during sets or changing the tempo fader will in sync!
I suggest mixing without master tempo. I've had several occasions where the sound quality decreases (artifacts!) even with small changes of +/- 1.5%. Might depend on the song (Bad mastering??) Especially when slowing down a track.
Thankfully it isn't bad mastering. It's the digital degradation from the algorithm. The good news is... this happens on any device with a master tempo/pitch function. Even Ableton.
This can be done in one way. Everytime the cdj stops, it makes in internal Loop in point. When you touch the Loop out button, the loop is made. You can use it not only for 8 beat loop , but for every loop lenght you want.
awesome vid! just wondering if using the sync button would make me look like a wack dj. I see famous djs like Laidback Luke uses sync but some says that's not for real djs...
I use sync. But not right away. I beatmatch my track with the jog wheel first and then hit sync just to make sure nothing goes wrong ya know? Its really useful for situations like maybe forgetting you loaded up a song with a little higher or slower tempo or something. But, if you dont know how to beat match at all and you just hit sync right away all the time, thats a little lame haha
if you set it on e.g. 6% and turn the pitch fader as fast as possible the track will play 6% faster than original speed. if you then turn the pitch fader as slow as possible the track will play 6% slower than original speed. Same for 10% or 16% setting. WIDE=100% which means the track will stop when turning the pitch fader as slow as possible and play with double speed when turning it as fast as possible.
Ive heard that its more reliable to use the % and the bmp count, rather than just the bmp. How do I read that % thing. Its kind of confusing. Also most people as you did recommend a range but not the one you mention but +- 16 on the tempo fader thanks for the answers.
Using pitch range +/- 6% is most accurate. When using this range every little change will lead to increase or decrease of the track by 0.02% steps. If you use +/- 16% the steps are bigger and less accurate. Also playing a track at + 15% you'll not able to recognize the track anymore, even with Mastertempo on. WIDE range is something you can use to completely slow down the track.
On the display on the bottom right it will show what your selected pitch range is. If Mastertempo is selected, also above the selected pitch range, there is a red square with MT showing.
Guys im using a USB with my Cdj2000 with my tracks on it, but for some reason when im trying to beatmix the BPM's change up & doen themselves?? I don't understand why it's doing this? Is there a way to stop this? If someone can help id appreciate it cheers.
Struggled with that one also. Some intro's confuses rekordbox and it will give an wrong BPM. In rekordbox in the Comment box I state the correct BPM. It's not perfect but if you wanna play the track you can see what the correct BPM is and still use the track. When I'm browsing on the cdj I also push the Info button once. There it will show the Comment box.
Yep, if you have the right controller that has that option available, it will work. I have the Numark NS7ii with VDJ8 and it works perfectly! Sorry im 3 years late on this, just thought i should share haha
I used CDJs for the first time the other night and noticed that occasionally it took a while for the BPM to display itself, if it did at all, made it very hard to beatmatch (i got it done).... why would this be?

Really great videosss??
Can you make a video where you explain us how to beatmacht 2 tracks???
Thankssss
How do you transition using tempo and pitch from 150bpm to 130
Could you make a tutorial on CDJ Effects?
+Fre3 Fly Cdjs doesn't have effects. The mixer has
+Wobblebass Sorry...my bad. Then +Christian Jackson could you please make a tutorial on the DJM-900 effects?

So the tempo reset button is made to turn bpm to the original value ?
Ye
How you went into that 8-Beat loop with only pressing Loop-Out once?
Thats very handy!
This can be done in one way. Everytime the cdj stops, it makes in internal Loop in point. When you touch the Loop out button, the loop is made. You can use it not only for 8 beat loop , but for every loop lenght you want.
That won my heart🥺🙌🏼❤🔥
you can do that with the in and out function of the cdj

Why the heck did Pioneer put a dead zone on the jog pitch bend?
Could you explain the % changes in the tempo ?

Really good tutorials! Thanks a lot!
does the bpm counter of cdj 2000 always displays to one decimal place tempo resolution?
Is there a way to adjust the pitch with out changing the tempo... I never used a CDJ before
mcquest crew No
Christian Jackson Dang It
mcquest crew I believe there is, there's a "pitch" button in among the color buttons.

why you sayin on the name cdj 2000 when its clearly nexus
i have the CDJ-2000 NXS 1My jogwheel light is white?? and his one is red is that a setting or NXS 2
MV B end of track alarm in settings. dont knos name exactly. also possible that its the on air light
If you connect the DJM-900 or DJM-2000 to the players it will show a red platter for the player you're playing. Otherwise it's white
You are a savior!!🔥
Why does my songs change tempo (bpm) ? I’m having the most difficult time matching the beats 😞
Have you analyzed your tracks?
Christian Jackson no. How do you do that. Plus I’m not using rekord box
how to fix double tempo (recordbox analized wrong) on the cd´s
Struggled with that one also. Some intro's confuses rekordbox and it will give an wrong BPM. In rekordbox in the Comment box I state the correct BPM. Thank you :) some of the down tempo / slowmo stuff really confuse recordbox hahaha
How much pioneer 2000 nexus
and how to change tempo when you are syncing?
Manual will make things clearer. But best is to play with 2 players and see what is possible and not.
wich i could have this feature on virtual dj
Virtual DJ does have tempo control, as I recall.
+James Rhodes because you didnt prepare your files in rekordbox
DJ FABIO SANTOS cut mix
lol i watched this whole thing and there was no beat matching
that's why the video says tempo control and not beat matching :D
Hot chues pls
