Our boy Lucas totally stole that video man. Of all the people Dana was clowning for being wrong and dumb, Lucas stood out most.
To be fair his criticisms were pretty accurate, maybe just overblown. It’s no secret that Dana was scrambling last-minute to throw together UFC 300, the biggest card in history which is a bad look. And some of the matchups were disappointing compared to Dana’s promise that everyone will be “blown away”. Even though the card turned out amazing in spite of this, it doesn’t really change it. But Dana is a business and narrative genius so now he’s changing the narrative and flexing on everyone which I respect

Sterling did what he had to do to win and because he is such a big name for mma fans (former champ, considered bantamweight goat) i was still excited. Charles on the other hand just completely dissapointed me and looked completely the opposite of the beneil fight. Thought marauder charles was back, but he threw almost 0 punched the entire fight and his submission finishing ability was completely useless...

UFC 300 BLEW ME AWAY . Gave us a washroom break on the early prelims and main card . DANA WHITE IS THE MAN. The only fights that sucked were aljo and Jessica Andrade. And don’t let me forget Bo , that sucked
I didn't even mind the Andrade vs Rodrigues fight. It wasn't a masterpiece or anything but it was close enough the whole way through to keep my attention. Hell, that fight was downright good compared to some of the stuff we've been getting on Apex main cards.

From a promotional standpoint for a special event like 300, I think most of the skepticism was warranted.
It didn't have a "Brock, Conor, Jones, or Ronda" headlining on it. It lacked the star power of the previous 2 major events in the promotions history. J. Hill is from my hometown and even most of us were aware he's not the guy to be headlining such an event. You could argue it's still true, he managed to kick Alex in the nuts before getting knocked out. lol That sums up the main event. lol The highlight of the main event is Alex memeing himself after the knockout. lol
The Co-main sucked outside of the first round.
The BMF title basically served as the peoples main event, and it certainly delivered, but there is humor in the fact that a belt like the BMF title ended up stealing the show, when it seems like most of the fans hate the belt and really rip into it's existence in the first place.
The card delivered in terms of entertainment but it seems like a stretch to say it was the best card ever.
Lastly, I'm aware the star power I listed is out of their prime now, perhaps with the exception of Jones, but the point is the card was lacking that factor to begin with. In terms of just being another PPV, it was still pretty damn good. I'm not complaining, just saying the skepticism was fully warranted. lol Dana had to incentivize them with bigger bonuses to make sure they delivered. lol Which is also ironic, because the guy seems convinced that more money makes these guys less hungry to step in the cage afterwards. lol
He's not convinced. He knows more money encourages people. He's just using that as a justification when asked about why he pays fighters dogsht

Another thing we don't think about is that we don't know which fights the UFC tried to put on the card and failed, not because of the UFC but because the fighters didn't accept or for other reasons that we don't know, for example the main fight was a spectacle but the UFC He tried everything for the best fight possible and he couldn't, but it ended up being a spectacle, I LOVED IT, best card ever

I think danas is missing the point that yeah the card was amazing, but we were pissed because it could have been SOOO MUCH better. Like Weili Zhang vs Yan Xiaonan. NOBODY wanted to watch that fight and he was hyping it up like conor mcgregor himself was gonna be added to the card. That fight literally almost put me to sleep.

I was very entertained with the card and it did what it needed to do, but are people really calling this the best card in UFC history?? It’s not even top five imo. There have been plenty of other cards more hype than this. I think it’s all credit to Max and Justin, their fight was so good that people are saying the whole card was GOATed. Remove that one fight and the whole card becomes just “good” imo
It's not even better than 299 and 295, recent history fights. Like apart from Alex and Max's ko, the card was good not great. With 299 and 295 pretty much every fight was entertaining
