I picked up this old kit on sale for $15 bucks at a hobby store that's no longer with us. I did the grey with red stripe aircraft in the markings pack of the kit. Nowhere near your level, but it looks nice from 3 feet away.
Now I have an idea how to get that splodgey IJN Green over that Hemp-Tone IJN Grey for an A6M3, use your underlay, but don't go heavy on the IJN Green. Thanks.

That triple underlay really helped out with the tonality of the IJN Green. Color modulation has come a long way since I was a kid.
