God, I wish I'd found your tutorials sooner. I've had an M50 for so many years, and the owner's manual has never been of any real help. I learned more in the course of watching two of your videos than I did over the last 13-14 years of browsing the M50 owner's manual.

@jmlatour Yes and yes. Touch the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner, and select "Copy from Combi" or "Copy from Prog." If you're in Program or Combi mode, and you want to record exactly what you're playing, you can also hold ENTER and press the sequencer REC/WRITE button to copy all the current settings to a new Song.
@ginises83 Hopefully you figured this out, but the best way to chain together sequences you create using the Cue List. Be sure to set the Cue List to "auto" for tempo so it automatically takes your original tempo settings. You can set a basic tempo at the beginning of each sequence, but you can also set multiple tempos within any sequence or song. The manual explains this well.
@MarkoDeLaVoota The best way is to do this: record bass 1 in the RPPR feature. Set the length of the lick or loop and record. Then do the same for bass 2. Now assign a key to bass 1 and bass 2. Go back to the sequencer main page, setup two tracks for bass (bass 1 and bass 2). Click the RPPR button then record in realtime. Hold the key assigned for bass 1 down when it's supposed to play, hold the key assigned to bass 2 when it's needed. There are other methods.

Load the midi file, then before you choose the sounds you want, take out the program changes that are already set. In many cases those changes are set to GM format. You can put the Korg M3 in GM Mode, but if you wish to use the sounds you want, then take out the file's original program changes, then choose your sounds. Then set the volume and pan and then save.
Thanks so much for this, huge help! Couple questions...with my Korg N364, I can assign one Combi sound to tracks 1-8 (or 9-16). I usually do that. Now I want to do it again with my M-3 - didn't figure that out on my first run - how to do that? (Surely I can't do 16 Combi tracks?!) Also, is it possible to sequence with KARMA or is that just on OASYS? THANKS :-)

Hey all.. great video and information. Here's my challenge. I "loaded" a midi song from usb into my Korg. Original description of one of the instrmnts is "jazz guitar" but when it is "loaded", it comes up piano. When I change it to a Jazz Guitar, it seems to take it, but... 1. There does not seem to be a way to simply "save" the Song with that change. 2. When I "play" it, it goes a couple of counts, then changes back. What am I doing wrong?
can you also use the different internal drum tracks cutting combining drum tracks that come in the machine. I can see using a lot of tracks to get the drums down when they are all in the machine already. IMOP. thanks for the time & help
I'm playing an M-50 for a show and I'm alternating between using the sequencer and playing live. Can the sequencer be set up to advance the next song in the chain with the foot switch? The foot switch advances in the other modes, but not in sequencer mode. When I use a cue list, it advances to the next song in the sequence without stopping. I need to be able to play a sequence, then play live, while advancing to the next sequenced song and then hit play for the next seq.
Hey are you able to use the pre-recorded drum beats that the M3 comes with in sequencer mode? If so are you able to loop and edit them just the same as if you had played it yourself?
There is a very limited info on you tube how to operate OASYS. Since M3 and Kronos are based on OASYS, can I use videos like these as a guide to some operations?

I'm pretty good with my M3 sequencer - check out my channel. But though I've searched the manual I can't seem to solve the problem of accidentally having recorded with the solo button on five tracks. It is permanently in the sequence now - soloing those tracks at measure 52. I've tried everything. How can I eliminate tracks from soloing automatically on playback of the sequence now? THANKS a million!!!
Hello, I wish to do a medley in sequence mode, but the problem is that the tempo song starts 130, and the tempo is 45 to 80 must change the tempo .... how to program them to change automatically moment that I wish
One more comment...I found out you can't just insert a hard drive or flash drive and start saving...have to format it with the "utility" tab first when Media is selected. Evidently u3 smart drives are not friendly to the M3 without removing a partition with your computer. Heads up ppl. Otherwise like me you will think the Media/Save features are not functioning at all :-(

@arjarns You can't create multiple tracks from a single track, so you would need to record the kick and snare drums to two separate tracks.

Hi, after building a sequence, I move to media and save, but the screen does not show anything, pls help me as to how to save my sequence.
