- Today I have a presentation of sorts that is mostly for the folks at WarGaming (@WorldofTanksModernArmor). As of late I have noticed that ATGMs seems to have a mind of their own. They don't pen when they should, sometimes they do splash damage, sometimes they don't, sometimes they track where you aim and other times they go off on their own. In this video I present the evidence I have so hopefully WarGaming can get to the bottom of this issue.

It’s not just a problem with atgms. Notice how many times the auto cannon doesn’t penetrate the back of the Wiesel. One of the biggest systemic problems with game mechanics is the armor model.
It appears that atgm's are having the same effects as shells flying off in weird directions

Agreed! One other issue that I never understood: if you get killed your ATGM will instantly disappear and never hit anything. Many times my atgm is in the target, just a few meters to reach the target, I mean milliseconds, if I die, the missile dies too. 😂
Not the same with shells.
I've never had that happen. I've hit an ATGM after dieing.
💯... Facts!! Legit I knew something was up with my BMP's 1&2.. I wasn't getting much penetration with my missiles on different tanks on multiple matches. It makes me wonder if you're on too good of a winning streak they might nerf you or something for so many rounds.. 🤔

Thank you for this video, me and others have trouble with ATGMs recently and I’m glad we have someone who can make a video about it. Hope WG can see this video and fix the issues with ATGMs.
Another issue is a missile doing 0 damage which should impossible as they're literally high explosive war heads
Definitely noticed the same. The replay can also show the shots rears totally off target I'm not talking about ATGMs' even normal shots do on many occasions these days.
I’ve noticed that a lot recently myself!!! I love my Wiesel and have loads of fun playing it and I only run premium ATGM’s to maximize penetration and I’ve had an enormous amount of bounces lately…another issue I’ve had is that the ATGM’s a lot of times don’t come straight out it comes out more off to one side or another…not sure if this is WG way of nerfing the Wiesel or ATGM’s in general but it’s really frustrating…I used to be able to get 10k+ damage games easily now I have a hard time doing 7k…you’re not alone on this issue for sure!!!
the silver earning in cold War is terrible.. winning battle second place and I earn in silver minus -832 .. I send wargaming ticket and the response was terrible as well. Explanation of game mechanics in general for silver. I am playing this game 8 years in playstation.they think that we are idiots...
Agree they really are trying to make their Players quit the game.
Yep no matter what I'm losing silver be it CW or WW2. The only way I made any silver is with boosters
Yep silver earrings is now horrible in CW
In wot blitz I learned to deal with the silver issue by playing better, I remember my first matches in tier VI-VII were terrible, 😂I lost so much money

This exact same thing has been happening to me too. I swear over the last days I've had at least 7 missiles bounce of the back of tanks. Two Leopards in one match. Never had a bounce on a direct shot on the back of one of those before. Also had missiles missing at point blank but never looked at the replay. It is so maddening!
I believe it’s all started when Wg released Wiesel on Christmas. They must done something with atgms back then. I’ve notice exact same things. My personal record is 7 bounces with my atgms on one tank. It’s like rng saying no not this time he got protection.
Well ATGM’s cant fire on the move in real life!!! That’s been more of an issue Ive had with WG. Its actually ruining the game ala wiesel.

Two weeks ago, 6 to 8 hits in a match and 6,000 to 10,000 damage done.
Now, 6 to 8 hits in a match and only 3,000 to 5,000 damage done.
WHY?
I completely agree with this. I bought the wiesel and every game a shot would bounce or go the completely wrong way. I hope WG will fix this.

Developers are adamant that map rotation is not weighted. Yet today they openly stated the new community make Azure coast has “increased frequency”… am I missing something??

The Amolad I feel under performs. I submitted a question to QA last week which they answered.
They stated it performing well. And that the medium has more armor then its counter part heavy, the Chieftain 120, so the medium gets a SLOWER reload then the heavy? Like what kinda Willy wanka tank world are we playing now?

That happened to me so many times 😂it is the same like ghost shell's 😊don't know what is wrong with atgm or some ammo shell's.

I’ve noticed that a few other tanks seem to have gotten nerfed.
There's definitely something going on. I have 47 Demolition medals. In the last few times I played I got 5 of them. 5 ammo racks in 2 days with missiles when I had 42 in about 2 years up to that point. They did something.
Propably just engine and programming stuff, im no expert but i have no issues. Maybe Servers Arent good enough for era3? Era2 all fine.

I have the same probleme. Another problem is that when youbar shooting, the ATGM goes up (regarding that I aimed down) and missing the target.
Or when I shoot the 72BU in the back 3 times and didn’t pen and we ended up loosing 0-8.
I guess ia a problem with RNG for atgms. When I asked on one of their streams they tended to make jokes on me.

Stopped playing after 7 years over this...
It's tick rate, its the same as on Minecraft servers and CoD servers in every tick the game would update you and itselfs with all the others.
then if you fire in a tick moment you will sort of lose data this small update will then later be confirmed in the next tick
and thats why your shots will sometimes feel of or your PvP's on Minecraft why you die so fast in CoD.
the game isn't up to date and neither has a lot of tripple A games or games that exist for a long time.
On the M3A2 is the launcher not to the left of the turret? I agree it appears to be exaggerated based on replay, but I don't think the atgm should launch center mass based on where the launcher is?
Also, I noticed that in Cold War era my missiles and shells constantly go outside of my reticle I think that is a problem that's only in cold war. I do not have this problem in World War II my shells always go inside my reticle but I am constantly having the opposite happening in Cold War
It's not only AGTM , Wiesel bouncing direct shot from Ob.292
Looking at the missile against the Wiesel with it being guided you managed to lift it up over the back end as you was driving and it hit the dirt
Idk the splash radius of the missile but it looks like the Wiesel just managed to drive away from the impact
True, i just played Wiesel and only got critical hits 5 times 😂
It's not a new phenomenon It's been happening to me for awhile now which is why I haven't played any ATGM tanks in over a month.
Noticed the same, I've never bounced so many atgm's before, even at point blank range into the back of tanks, just bounces 😳 Or flying literally miles of from where I was aiming.. I was just guessing it was WG nerfing the f out of atgm's because "now we're sold a sh!tload of Wiesel's, time to make them worthless".
I dont think its a problem, if you can bounse off a flat side 50mm armored 4 times in a row 4meter away with a heavy , this is a step in the right direction from wg on the missiles fix/nerf. This is just good news l think. 🥳🥳
It's not just atgm its regular rounds also. I think it's wg messing with us or someone not doing their job.
They have nerfd is in secret. The tank has more issues than just the atgm.
I've been having the same exact issue
RNG... A content creator talking about a similar issue on a basketball game where a player can have a high 3 point rating and because of RNG you will randomly miss wide open jump shots. Devs want us to play more games by making us miss shots
I think the game in general has problems with penetration. I was using my t49 in a game a few days ago and shot the top plate over the engine bay on an email 1951 which only has 20 mm of armor mind you my 152 mm Cannon has 76 mm of penetration and I only did about 300 damage so penetration is 100% a problem in the whole game
From the other side of the coin, the victim, this video clip may be of interest, I have 2750 full health hit points and after hiding behind a rock and missing all the action I say stuff it and venture out to try and do at least some damage and here we go again within a few seconds Boom hit by a missile, and DESTROYED But hang on a minute 2750 hit points, 1 missile, the video clip is in slow motion and I am fairly sure it is just one missile, according to the stats the BMP-2 missile is 990 damage. I am a newbie perhaps I just don't understand how it works but surely I shouldn't be destroyed if I have 2750 hit points.
It happened a few day ago too on China Wall I had 1805 hit points and one missile form a Marder took me out.
I raised a ticket about it to player support but they said they didn't deal with Game Mechanics and send it to feedback so that was the end of that.

If you are willing to hear my unbiased answer, I feel I can explain. Granted you made this video so you may not be willing to see what I see from watching. I enjoy your videos so I am not doing this to upset or troll you in any way. Like HEAT shells missiles are shape charges and can be mitigated with spaced armour. Side screen tracks and running gear was possibly in the way against the Thumper. The first wiesel you were chasing was moving quickly left and away from you, and your missile appears to me, to have impacted the ground behind them. Your last example, on the stationary wiesel, shows a slight turret traverse left, moments before firing. Couple that with the once stationary wiesels forward movement, your missile, in my opinion was not far off the original aim point at all. Add in some possible terrain undulating RNG for good measure as well. Again I understand if you do not like my explanation, I am not a wargaming "yes man", I believe, and wish, the game could be better. I have ideas to improve it myself, but they don't often heed the suggestions of their own CC's let alone that of individual players. May the RNG be with you... Always.
Okay cool, then explain how a CW era 1 scorpion light tank can bounce my fv4005 ap sheel off it's upper plate, driving straight at me. 183mm gun with 310 mm pen on an at best 25mm armor possible. Does overmatch mechanic not exist anymore?
@@Armchair.extraordinaire-bo5mv Tried testing this in custom matches before and we came to the conclusion that overmatch mechanics either are not a mechanic or do not work in the game in the way we expect that they should. We couldn't confirm from what we did, whether we were overmaching armour or if the natural penetration values were just rolling high enough to penetrate the 1/3 value thicknesses at the angles being fired at. I don't know how to answer that. I just know what I was seeing from Riki's video replay for myself. I feel like there are enough people in the game that are curious about the finer details, that wargaming should definitively give the players the facts about these things. Do overmatch mechanics work on console? In cold war? In WW2? Do AP shells have normalization mechanics? At what angles will, AP, APCR/APFSDS, HEAT, HE, auto ricochet? I have never personally seen console release this information. The only time I have heard any of these things were second hand accounts or from the PC related websites which are not necessarily related to the console version. If anyone can factually answer these and other questions, with proof; I am certain it would satisfy a lot of players curiosity.
This game is broken. Has been for a while now. I have no armor tanks bouncing fv4005 sheels. And then my tanks with armor, getting penned in auto bounce angles all the time. And what about all the tanks left on 1 HP all the damn time.
Best way is have atgm and APC,s battle themselves simples😂😂😂

This is good news. Like they nerfed arty for cold war. Bout time they did something with those annoying missiles.
🧐🧐They change the system in some fights system slow you down a bit so the other guy who did not make good results in a while makes it now that's how i've seen it for a long time
Probably realised they are ruining the game with these and stealth nerfing them.
They are worse than the clown car Armidillo they introduced. Made me leave the game after 6yrs.

Yeah they fu¢king do. Explain all the people left on 1 HP. Giving them time to trash you while you are on a reload, then all your fully aimed shots durp into the ground in front of them or hit tracks.

The special rng, the special matchmaker to give you bad teammates. You are the bad teammate. I've never met a good player bitch and whine about the rng like the bad players do. Your team isn't why you have sub 50% winrate, you are. You want to win more get better at the game its that simple.
@@mandrake925 um no, the game does have special RNG to eff you. I've played this game probably more than I should have. Some of the special RNG was stated in the console forums years ago. And guess what, we don't have a console forums anymore. And I ain't going to give you my gamertag, so you are just going to have to believe me if you want. But I have a 60%WR, and I play solo only. I Never platoon. This game is broken, not even the gun caliber overmatch system even works. The light tanks prove sh!t is broken every day. Bye
@@Armchair.extraordinaire-bo5mv if you talking about when you shoot the side and only damages the tracks? Can't overmatch tracks. Overmatch works fine for me against srtv103b I don't think about it much with lights bc I always aim at the tracks. Immobolizing a mobile threat priority 1 anyway. There is no special matchmaking. Just sometimes you get awful teammates and sometimes you get incredible teammates not wg rng deciding what you get its random. Vader STS is my gt idc look me up.
