Thank you for the video. I've been sleeping on a Nectar for the past 2 months at my daughter's. I absolutely love it. I'm 155 lbs and a side sleeper. Also a post stroke with left sided weakness and have neuropathy and arthritis. I'm usually very hot, but I'm not with the Nectar.I sleep very well on the Nectar. My niece has the Purple and loves it. This is why I'm comparing the two.
Just ordered my Nectar Premier a few days ago. Ordered the adjustable base too. I'm hoping the Premier gives my arthritic hips and shoulders the support I need. Time will tell.
@@skyllerkyller I've gotten 3 of 4 items. The adjustable base came quickly. In 5 days. The sleep bundle came in 10 days. The Google Nest came Sept.2nd. The mattress had been pushed back from by Aug 27 to now by Sept 10. I've had a few online chats and was told I'd get it TODAY, Sun the 5th. I didn't. If I don't have it by the 10th I'm going to contact them and raise some hell for sure. Good luck with your order.
I am so intrigued by the purple grid technology But not sure about the squishy gel feel. In this matchup, I would choose the nectar for the memory foam feel. Prefer a hybrid, though. Thanks Martin 😊
I tried both and preferred none I chose Nector copper that was the winner. I tested older pumper and copper at a different store and the purple just sunked in while the copper nector felt amazing
Currently sleep on the purple 3, and have had it for 3 years without any issues. The ONLY complaint I feel we could make is that’s it’s very heavy without handles to move it. Sleeping on it for 3 years is a dream, but currently have the nectar premier hybrid on its way for us to tryout. I don’t know if I can switch from the purple though. It’s an amazing bed. I could literally see myself selling our new mattress and putting ol faithful back in. We shall see.
@@Battedcrayfish3hey! Actually, honestly… the nectar is still stowed away, in the original packaging, in our “storage/junk guest room”. 😬😬 I have yet to let myself pull the purple out to try out the nectar. I’m realizing now it’s been a whole year since the nectar has arrived. Oh my goodness. Life.
I was surprised that The Purple mattress showed that much pressure! I was able to lay on a Purple 3 at a local Rooms To Go. It was so comfortable! The salesman advised me to lay on the mattress for several minutes while in the position I normally sleep in. I'm a stomach sleeper and female. Other women could relate to how difficult it can be to get situated into a position where there's no "squishing". I promise after personally trying more than 10 mattresses, The Purple 3 was the only mattress where I didn't have to adjust my breasts. It was almost as if the bed just molded to my body. (Their unique feature and claim to fame is true...for me at least). The Purple 3 is a serious contender in my hunt for a new mattress. The only pause is that some Purple owners have said it doesn't keep them cool at night. It would be interesting to add that as part of your descriptive reviews. Does it sleep warm or cool? An objective opinion would be great!
Just bought the Nectar a few months back and I’m very disappointed. Iam a bigger guy and I tend to sleep on my side more often then anything. My inability to move Freely from my left side to my right side has been an issue for me. I tend to slide down and flip now which leaves me farther down the mattress and using my arms to support my head and neck which of course has me in pain when I wake up. I bought the memory foam specifically since I have back problems but so far it’s gotten worse. I’ve read tons of freer reviews on this brand and I’m sure it’s great but for me it’s a no go. I’m going to return and try to purple. I have a pillow from them already and it’s by far the best I’ve ever owned and prb the last one I will ever have to buy. Any recommendations on a specific purple mattress would be appreciated
I'm a taller and heavier person which compels me to look at Hybrid beds. The Purple is worth a try but ultimately, I prefer a pillowtop mattress with coil support for durability. Thanks for the review.
On the purple mattress you seemed to have more pressure on that. I know for me I would probably stay away from Nectar in that I do not like to feel stuck in the mattress.

I've had my Nectar for only about a week now. I thought I did all my research between these two beds. Trying them out at the store, they were both great, but the price for Nectar swayed me to buy it vs the Purple. Now after about a week, I wish I would have just paid extra and made that investment. I am a petite person, side sleeper, and I get hot over night. My husband is a heavier guy and he isn't a fan of the bed yet either. I wanted a new bed because of the bad pressure I've been experiencing being a side sleeper for most of my life. I am about 140lb and most of my weight is in my hips and butt, so the pressure on my side has been causing me to feel this discomfort pressure on my hips. The only way I can explain it, is for anyone who has been pregnant and if you sleep on your side, the bigger and farther down the baby gets, there is this pressure on your hips when you lay on your side that is very uncomfortable. For all those reasons is why I want to switch to the Purple. It says to give it 30 days, so that's my plan before I make that switch.
Your response really helped me in making my decision being that I'm 150 1bs, a side sleeper & also need comfort in those exact areas (lower back, butt & hips). Thank u👍🏾😊
Responsive and cool is what the purple mattress is. Like the guy said in the video, the nectar is slow sinking like quick sand and the purple is more responsive
Is it possible to use a mattress topper on the Purple mattress and if so which style would work best if you just want to add a little more cooling and softness? I'm about 170 lbs.
As a heavier person who sleeps hot, I'd definitely pick Purple over the Nectar. Purple just has better heat transfer and durability. I'm also not very fond of memory foam feel. I usually start sleep on my side, and end sleep on my back. Because of that, I find memory foam restricts my sleep movements too much.
I was surprised to see the red spots on the shoulder and hip for the Purple, I would have thought it would be a little softer, but both are great mattresses.
Which purple mattress is this? I'm wondering if that would change your perspective on the review. I can't make up my mind about which one to get... I sleep alone, 220 lbs, 5"8. Back problems, I don't really have a preference on hard vs soft. From 2014-2016 I was homeless and never owned a good mattress (no mattress for several months) and in 2016-present I've owned an offbrand mattress that's supposed to be similar to the nectar but way softer and it's extremely uncomfortable. I was going to pull the trigger on the purple mattress 4 but it's so expensive I decided to keep looking before making up my mind... I'd have to put it on a credit card for now. I could go for something cheaper but I feel this isn't something people should cheap out on and I just can't anymore with my mattress... it feels like it's a fake therapeutic mattress off Amazon.
I have the Purple 3.0. I’m 230 5’10 and I have severe back and neck problems. The Purple was amazing at first, but now at year 3 all the support I needed is no more. This mattress just does not hold up. It is making my back even worse.
@@gracetheday if it’s under 10 year warranty just contact their support they may request a photo of the sagging send them that and they will replace the mattress for you.

Nectar has no memory foam feel at all. It's trash waste of 3 months time trying to let my body "adjust" It's so trash when I told them If cant donate if can toss in trash they agreed amd said just pull tags off. So guess what that's where it'll go
