Måneskin (Danish pronunciation [ˈmɔːnəˌske̝n]) are an Italian rock band formed in Rome in 2016 and composed of Damiano David (vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar) and Ethan Torchio (drums). the Danish name Maneskin meaning moonlight was chosen because Victoria's mother is Danish and it was an unknown word in Italy. they started their career playing on the streets of Rome, they are aged between approximately 22 and 25, they are all very young. They achieved fame in Italy at a very young age in 2017 following their participation in the eleventh edition of during X-Factor. The following year their debut album Il Ballo della Vita was released, containing the single Torna a casa, which established the group nationally, allowing them to undertake an extensive sold-out tour in Italy. In 2021, the second album Teatro d'ira - Vol. I was released, containing the song Zitti e Buoni, which allowed the formation to triumph at the 71st edition of the Sanremo Festival and the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. theyre an italian band, and theyre seriously amazing. all 4 of them are insanely talented musicians, and you should definitely check out some more of their stuff! the singer damiano writes all the lyrics, and they are so poetic in italian, great songs are le parole lontane, la paura del buio (the best one is live at radio italia) and coraline (imo the best version is the one live at sanremo 2022). and some great ones in english are the driver, mammamia, baby said. but, honestly, all of them are great, and they sound even better live than in recording. hope to see you do more reactions to them!
