This is one of the best courses online for troubleshooting dead motherboards. Thank you for all your time and effort in making this. 😊

Glad to help
I bought your courses on Udemy. Thank you very much.
Awesome, thank you!
You always give knowledge and I became interested in electronics repairs because of you.
You are really a good teacher.
Glad you think so!
I have never seen or heard anyone state that inductors are always on the power rails and never connected to ground. Very Good!
You are wekcome. In motherboards, Coils are always connected to power rails.
Great stuff, I like that you have text showing so that I can understand what you're saying, frankly your pronunciation is funny with some words like dead that you pronounce as did or deed lol.
Always showing the pictures, words and graphics is like thousands of words and makes it failsafe explanation. Kudos!
Thank you

Happy to help, Thank you Xavier
I'm trying to fix an Acer TravelMate 244LM motherboard, the uknown Yuhina 03207-3. I found that all the inductors are shorted; though this, voltage on the power switch is 5V.
I found that all cpu ceramic decoupling capacitors are shorted. I don't have the datasheet, so I can't confirm this is the cause for the short, but I'm pretty sure. I found a lot of low quality thermal paste on the cpu, allegedly the GD400 that you can buy on Aliexpress, and probably this caused buildup of loats of heat and then the destruction of all them. Processor is an Intel Celeron 2.6 GHz, with a high tpd for a laptop, about 70 W. You can't joke with so high power
I got convinced
excellent.
Thanks!
Learned a Lot. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

Hi I have a similar model laptop, I put the wrong charger in it. I put 19.5v into the 5v centre pin and now the original charger cuts out after a few seconds. I removed the BV diode as well by mistake does I matter? Any idea how I can progress the repair? Thank you for your videos
